Tranquil Tides Retreat is nestled along HWY 12 in an excellent central location, placing you mere minutes to public beach access points, local restaurants, state parks, marinas and much more. This newly remodeled cottage is clean, fresh, and inviting. Linens are provided, along with a starter kit of basic necessities (toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels etc.). The friendly local grocery stores, dollar store, bakeries and gas station are just a quick drive away. Enjoy the spacious backyard under the spreading island oak trees, relax on the sunny porch with a good book, fire up the grill and unwind! Cape Hatteras is one of the most unique areas in the world. Tranquil Tides Retreat provides the perfect home base to make your Outer Banks vacation a fun and memorable family getaway!

The house was super clean and had many necessities included such as a pack n play for our baby and a coffee machine for us tired parents! The hosts were quick to respond and the house was close to the beach and shops. We would highly consider staying here again for our yearly vacation down to OBX!

Relaxing Tranquil Tides

We had an amazing few days in this beautiful home. The instructions were easy for checking in and out and communication with the hosts was quick and positive. We loved this home and hope to come back to Tranquil Tides and the island soon.

July 4 escape!

Great communication! And she was super flexible and let us check in early! I found the unit very clean and also well stocked with cleaning supplies which always makes it easier to keep it nice and de clutteredWe love Frisco and Avon and getting away from the big crowd, so Frisco is perfect for us! We had a great holiday and a great vacation and I would highly recommend this spot!

New year vacation

Heather and Kelly were great. We had a wonderful very relaxing stay. A lot of the attractions were closed for the month of January, but we visited the grounds of the lighthouses, took the ferry to Ocracoke, visited the Wright Brothers Memorial, and the beach.

House was very clean, well stocked, and the property owner was quick to answer any questions I had. Located between bait shops, restaurants, the sound and the beach. Met every requirement we had, then some. Highly recommended

Perfect getaway spot

We were on OBX with a large group of people and decided we'd prefer our own space for sleeping. Tranquil Tides was clean, the air was on when we arrived and it had everything we needed. We were only 2 miles from our friends house. It was perfect for our needs! Will definitely return!

Accommodating

During our stay one of the guest locked us out of the property by accident. I sent a text to the owners and within minutes were given access to a lock box and able to regain entry into the property. Very accommodating host, we will be staying with them again.
