Villa Mariposa is nestled oceanfront 30 mts above sea level. Enjoy the wonderful bay and beach view from a sun lounger under a mango tree or a hammock at the front porch, or from the living room dining table. Work remotely with stable optic wifi. Use the private direct beach access or take a dip in the plunge pool and relax at the pool and grill area. Enjoy the tropical fauna with shady trees, flowers and butterflies. Spaces around the villa:
You can enjoy different spaces around the villa. From the front porch you have a bay view direct view to the surf break in Playa Maderas and to Marsella´s Rock. The private pool at the right side has a great shade during the day with a pergola and a grill area connected to it. On the left side of the villa is a grass terrace area for sunbathing, as well as a higher wooden terrace under a Mango tree from where you can enjoy the shade while working or eating outside. You have electricity there if you like to sit under a Mango and work remote and enjoy the waves at the same time.

About food during your stay:
You have an outdoor grill and a fully equipped kitchen including a stove with owen, microwave, refrigerator with small freezer, coffemaker, kettle, toaster, blender and what else you need. Remember to buy the food you need in 1 of the 2 local supermarkets "Ahora Mas" or "Pali" on your way to your villa. You can find them on Google maps - as well as our destination "Villas Playa Maderas".

You can go to 4 restaurants at the beach or get quick delivery from restaurants in town. You have any freedom to cook and organize this as you want – and the staff always online can as an extra service help cook any type of meal or diet for you. You have a lot of options anytime you like.

Other restaurants in the remote maderas area are Hush, Espejo, Machete Market Cafe and Mango Rosa among others . In San Juan del Sur you might try one of the beachfront restaurants and maybe have some seafood - or find one of the other restaurants in town.

Traveling with kids:
It is normal to bring kids, including small kids and babies. We have a high chair and a cradle. We have family games for outside as well as inside. And you can go on a monkey trip. The plunge pool is a good area for small kids - also as it has shade.

Temperature can be regulated with a/c in bedrooms, fans in other rooms and movable fans and the breeze as well as shaded and fresh areas.

Family games:
We are focusing on how a family can have some fun to do except the pool. So you can play mini american soccer or mini european football at the green turf in front of the outdoor gym or jungle gym as we like to call it. Ask the staff to bring the stuff for you. We also have bocce.

Also you find fun games like cornhole/juego de mais, mini jenga and mega jenga, outdoor domino, hit the racoons, and different toss games with rings and ladder golf or jungle golf as we call it here.

Games for your villa:
Right now we have Twister, Monopoly and Uno, Checkers, Chess, Memory, Domino for small kids. Any other suggestion let us know and we might have if you visit.

Access to our forest trails and the beach:
You can find signs showing the trails "Mono Congo" and "Mapache" and our staff can explain. The Mapache (racoon) trail is also the easiest way to get to the 3 villas on the other side of the ravine. On each side of the small forest ravine going to the sea are 3 rental villas. Each side has its own private beach access.

Wildlife:
On our property you can find the black "Mono Congo” monkeys and maybe also a sloth and a variation of birds and butterflyes. A staff member can help you find the monkeys if the are not coming close to your house.

Staff:
Always online, 24 hour security and housekeeping, kitchen staff on request. Daily cleaning is included. Staff is discreete but always close. Very flexible and personalized services. Tell us what you need.

Wellness:
If you like to order a private massage or other kind of wellness at your villa it is possible through our contacts. We have yoga spaces and equipment and private yoga teacher is also possible. Also we have an outdoor gym. If a surf interest then just go down to the beach – and rent a surf board or a boogie board - and there are also surf instructors.

The Villa has private parking right next to it. You can also arrive by taxi – as well as go by taxi when you want. Or try the very local truck bus. We can also help arrange transportation directly from airport.
