This home provides a rare opportunity to stay on a private pond, amidst 430 acres of conservation land protected by The Nature Conservancy and The Audubon Society. The Long Pond-Ell Pond preserve is a Rhode Island treasure and the state’s only National Natural Landmark and provides extraordinary privacy. For security and insurance, there are outdoor security cameras pointed at the entrance, waterfront and fire pit. This exceptional home boasts over 450' of direct waterfront and 7.5+ acres of land surrounding. You will find easy access to miles of hiking trails that stretch from Route 3 into Connecticut. Despite being in the heart of a conservation area, Heron Hollow is situated a short drive to many popular destinations: I-95 is a short 5 minute drive which allows for easy navigation throughout RI. Minutes from a variety of golf courses and restaurants. Less than 30 Minutes from Rhode Island's famous beaches; including: Westerly Town Beach, Misquamicut State Beach, Historic Watch Hill and Narragansett Bay. Less than 30 minutes to Historic Mystic Seaport, the Mystic Aquarium and Stonington Vineyards in Connecticut. Beautiful area to bring the family! The house was great and had everything we needed. The paddle boards and kayaks for the pond were great. The slide into the water kept the kids busy all day every day!

Pros: good spot if you want quiet. Nice outdoor area by the pond. House a good size for 11 of us. Paddle boards and kayaks are ample. Slide is fun.Cons: air conditioning hardly worked. Half the ramp up to the dock was submerged in the pond. Pond itself was orange and fairly stagnant. It stained our bathing suits orange and was not the best swimming water. The steps out back and the deck had condition issues. Hosts were very stingy with paper towels and garbage bags ran out of both with the nearest store 15 minutes away was a bit ridiculous.

Beautiful home on an even more beautiful piece of property. There was plenty of room for everyone to stay and celebrate my 30th birthday weekend. The host was responsive and very accommodating for any of our needs. Lots of great memories made here, only wish we had booked it for longer! Hope to be back soon :)

This house is amazing and the host pulled out all the stops. The home was beautiful and lots of rooms and little nooks to relax. The deck and hot tub is a bonus. The surrounding woods and trails were so peaceful and relaxing. I would stay again and again.

Family Vacation
