Get away to this idyllic , rural retreat in the tranquil countryside. Nestled in a setting among magnolia and live oaks draped in Spanish moss, this peaceful country cottage is adjacent to a lake and located between Ocala and Gainesville.


A stay at this acre plus country setting would be ideal for those looking for a relaxed, diverse retreat. You will be surprised by the number of things to do and places to explore.

The perfect place to canoe or kayak is on the Oklawaha river, just ten minutes away. There are boat rentals and a fishing pier. Take a dip in one of the natural springs nearby and maybe see monkeys and manatee. Go ride in the glass bottom boats at Silver Springs State Park. It is a paradise for lovers of nature.
If you love the qualities of vintage, you will be charmed by the eclectic mix of antique and contemporary furnishings in the cottage. It is perfect for a relaxing and tranquil visit for two. The bed is a comfortable queen size and towels and linens are provided. You will find everything you need to prepare meals.
The kitchen has a four burner gas stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and full sized refrigerator. There is central ac/heat, a 32 inch TV/wi programing and streaming. Laundry facilities are in a common area and the property manager lives on site.
The property is within walking distance of grocery store, Dollar General, Doctor, pharmacy, hardware store, liquor store, and gas station. Quality restaurants and shopping malls are within 25 minutes.
Nearby Ocala is the horse capital of the state. One should certainly visit the World Equestrian center while in the area.

Off the beaten trail…yet a prime location

First of all, the host, Roy, was fantastic! He made sure we were comfortable in his Casita! He is very kind and accommodating. His Casita is very clean and appealing. The view is great! Our stay was very relaxing and wonderful. We plan on coming again in the near future as we do have family in close proximity. Thank you, Roy, for sharing your “gem” with us.Richard and Mickie
