Very charming house with comfortable beds and plenty of space for our whole family. Nice array of game options if you want to stay in for the night. We didn't use the kitchen much but it was well stocked. Excellent coffee shop nearby and plenty of recreational opportunities nearby. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Annual great river ride

We enjoyed our stay at the Stonehouse. Great location for our annual great river ride. We recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay on near The Mississippi river.

Quick Stay in the Savanna Area

The property worked out perfectly for family that needed a quick stay in the area for a family funeral. Very responsive owners, and a neat, well kept property. Definitely recommend

Love the rustic look of the home! So cozy! Plenty of room for our group of 5 adults. Property is very clean. Owners answer messages promptly and go above and beyond to assure your stay is perfect. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Sabula Stone House

Loved our stay in Sabula. The stone house is beautiful and so comfortable. Hopefully it will be available for our next Iowa trip.

Beyond expectations

The house looks small, however it is spacious and has been beautifully redone. We were all pleasantly surprised how comfortable the beds were. Overall our stay at the stone house and the hosts (Jon and Patti) were beyond our expectations!

The Iowa Stone House was updated and yet very cozy. It had every amenity that we needed including coffee, tea, notes for the area, air conditioning, It was very clean which was ideal. Fast communication from Owner and friendly. We attended the local parade and it was only a couple of blocks walk. A neighbor did have an off leash German Shepard that approached us before being called back on the first day, Overall the neighborhood was well groomed and the Property Owners had beautiful landscaping which we loved. We would come back!
