Just what we were looking for! Quiet, cozy place for a long weekend away. Javier was a great communicator, very prompt. Check-in/check-out super easy. Easy 30 min. drive to Galena for the day. House had pretty much everything we needed. Plenty of room for a bigger family as well.

Wonderful Property

Great house for a nice getaway. Plenty to do onsite to keep you occupied. Fantastic outdoor patio area with woods behind the house. 2-person jacuzzi tub was fantastic too. Beds were comfortable, and house was nicely decorated and stocked with essentials. Plenty of seasoned firewood for inddor and outdoor use.Had a very minor hiccup with check-in, which was not the owners fault. Even so, he went over and above to make things right, and has been very accommodating and responsive throughout our stay.Would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed for two nights with another couple for a 3-day kayaking trip. The location was perfect - just a short drive through town to Mississippi Palisades State Park and easy access to the river. At first we were a little nervous about the neighborhood but it was quiet and we felt perfectly safe staying there. We left our kayaks outside the entire time undisturbed.This lovely home is probably the best-stocked rental we've ever stayed in - if there is anything you need - it's there! The home was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed with guests in mind. The outdoor area so beautiful and relaxing. Note that the mattresses as well as the pillows in all rooms are very firm. Recommend bringing your own pillow. Some good 3"mattress toppers would have made for better sleeping for all of us.

An incredible place in every aspect!I was truly amazed by how thoughtful Javier was as a host. He checked in on us to make sure we arrived safely and that the check-in process went smoothly. He also let us know in advance that he would be away and arranged for someone else to be available for us.The house itself is equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need, from batteries for the remote controls and extension cords to every little detail in the kitchen.The location is very quiet and has a direct connection to nature. We saw deer right by the house multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful birdsong. There are also plenty of entertainment options inside the house. We absolutely loved our stay and are already planning to visit again!

The house was as presented on the VRBO website. It was exceptionally clean (which is much appreciated). The ammenities were certainly a nice addition. My wife and son enjoyed the ping pong table. The kitchen was very well equipped and the cupboards were labled which was helpful. I did have to chuckle when I seen the time setting on the stove which was set to military time (the 24-hour clock) which suggests the host was a veteran or is still perhaps serving as a reservist or a member of the National Guard. Either way thank you brother!Keith
