Disappointed
The property itself was nice, if not well appointed. There was only one tide pod in the laundry room. Not enough to wash a single load. And, there was NO dishwashing detergent. All told, these were minor inconveniences.
What was really troubling, was the mud tracked in the primary bathroom and the surprise that was left in the toilet, influshed.
The very worst thing was that I decided on the house based on our ability to enjoy the pool,(which was heavily featured, for the 5 days that we were in town. The owner got in touch with me after check in time, to tell me that we could not use the pool because of dangerous chemicals therein. I was incensed, but I remained calm. I queried the owner as to what these chemicals could be, without getting an answer. The next day there was a workman at the house to do some repairs around the pool.I asked him when the chemicals would be dissapated and we would be allowed to use it. He had no idea what I was talking about and said that the pool looked fine. 4 days later, as we were checking out, another workman showed up to service the pool itself. I asked this young man what chemicals could have been in the pool that would keep us out of it for 5 days. He stated thatchlorine was the prevailing chemical and that the pool was fine for us to use. The way things had happened, my wife and I were not surprised to hear this, but we were both still incensed. The next time that we stay in town, we will be renting another house.
