We really enjoyed staying here at The Grover House. Everything was great, beds were comfy, had extra stuff on hand just in case we needed it. Had a perfect weekend. We would def recommend staying here to others.

This property is in the perfect location. It is walking distance to Fred’s and the brick oven pizza place. We loved watching the action on the slopes off the back of the house and you can see the sledding hill in the front. We were there during winter storm Elliot and the house kept power and water. We were more fortunate than so many others. Thanks for sharing your property.
This place was amazing! Loved that you could ski in and out. It was the first time for some of the kids so it was perfect for them. We took full advantage of the fireplace and the convenient location. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of room. The place was stocked well. The only negative was the pans were terrible for cooking. Other than that super cozy, cute place! Thank you!

I don't think I've staying in a rental that was this well appointed. All the little things you have at home that would never be in a rental. Humidifier, fan (great to sleep with), and so much more. Beds were very comfortable. The teens loved that they could walk to the local mercantile and we walked to 2 lunch spots. Over the weekend we counted 12 deer in the back yard and an adorable chipmunk! The owner was super fast to respond to inquiries!

The location couldn’t be better. The home was great for what we needed. I never leave comments, but feel I need to about this one. When I booked, I bought the travel insurance offered. After we left, the owner filed a huge claim for a cleaning needed because of “the smell of cigarette smoke”. I’m not sure if the cleaning crew that came through smoked or what the situation was, but it was absolutely not from our stay. Thankfully with the travel insurance, I didn’t have to worry about this issue... but because we 100% did not smoke in that home (or smoke at all), I do think it is worth purchasing.

Dear Dan, Thank you for staying with us and we are happy that you enjoyed the location. We are sorry for the confusion with the smoke claim. We resolved the issue and agree that it wasn't your group. We are really trying to make our home a fantastic rental and renovating more this spring so we hope that you would stay with us again.
We had a fantastic stay at the Heart of Beech! The location is superb, I loved that we could ski right out the back door, walk to Fred’s or the Brick Oven for a snack and even watch the kids sled from the new town sledding hill. The home is clean and cozy. We look forward to coming back!

We love The Grover House! Perfect location. The stairs are more manageable for a younger crowd. But my parents slept downstairs and that was perfect. The teens love the loft. And me and my husband stayed in one of the bedrooms upstairs. We had a great time. Pictures are true to location.

We are happy you enjoyed a great stay at Heart of Beech. The 2 bedrooms ,one upstairs and 1 downstairs with king size beds provide flexibility in the sleeping arrangements. Our grandkids always fight over the loft that overlooks the slope or the queen room up stairs that has a peek of the town sledding hill. The old sled ,circa 1950 ,was retired on the wall for decor and was mine as a child. We love our Heart of Beech and we hope we can share it with you again.

The style is best described as dated and Low Quality. When you're paying high dollar it's the owner's duty to continue to reinvest in her property so that it stays modern, elegant timeless and perhaps superior. From the appliances, to beds, to sofa to kitchen , to bathroom, to fixtures this house is not invested in...so what you have is poor appearances and it shows.

Wanted to let you know we updated the house furniture along with decor this Fall. The new look in the dining room includes a new farmhouse table and coffee bar and wine bar. We have combined our rustic vintage items to reflect a warm and comfortable mountain home setting. Many of our collectables include family ski decor from early 1900s next to soft new sofas loveseats and rockers and modern rustic new end tables. We hav e made it comfortable for all.

We had a great time at the Heart of Beech with 5 young kids learning to ski for the first time. Snow was man made and slushy on warmer days in late Febr to early March but it worked. House location was perfect and accomodations were nice. Ski school did not provide an impressive environment for learning, but we worked at it ourselves and all of us went up and down the mntn on the last day.
Thanks so much.

So happy you all skied. It is great to learn on warm days. The mountain has done such a good job at keeping a good base through the warm spell at Heart of Beech. Come Back soon! Summers are great here.
Perfect slopeside location. Easy ski-in/ ski- out. Flat enough to get your skis on and steep enough to literally ski to the back door. Easy walking distance to great food and shops. The house itself is clean, warm and cozy.
