It was a great place to stay to do some remote work and spend time with our daughter who’s a student at ISU. Clean. Off street parking. Comfortable bed. Convenient location. Would stay here again.

Place was very nice

We stayed in Ames for a fraternity dads weekend and a football game and the location was great. The place was very clean and perfect for my husband and me and our son. We would recommend!

This apartment is just far enough away from everything that you feel that sense of relaxation, yet close enough that a 5 minute drive gets you to food, bars, and shopping. We stayed over Christmas, so we had a sit-down meal, having most everything we needed to cook and serve ourselves. The bed is super comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need, and the bathroom has amazing water pressure! All in all, we highly recommend The Retreat on Harding for almost any occasion!

Cute apartment in a quiet neighborhood

My husband and I stopped here overnight to rest and refresh on a long road trip, and we were happy with all aspects of our stay. It's a cozy (but still spacious) apartment, and reminded us of our place at home, which was additionally comforting. I liked that the neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. Totally met all of our needs, and we would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed this property very much. It was clean and tidy. One negative: the front steps of the property are slightly high and there is no hand rail. This gave me pause every time I went in or out- especially when I was carting things or it was dark.

The bed was so comfortable. The entire place was very clean. Kitchen had everything (even a colander ;)). The yard was nice and shady and the street was quiet. The owners were very responsive with questions.
