This spacious log cabin is situated on a secluded 12 acre lot with 600' of water frontage on Moose Pond, boasting stunning views and two excellent spots to swim and unwind. Enjoy the sandy beach with gradual entry on the left side of the lot, or swim off of the dock directly in front of the cottage, with sandy/gravel bottom. The large wooded lot has been cleared around the cabin, with a sprawling level lawn leading to the waterfront. Moose Pond, a striking 1,694-acre lake with depths of up to 70', offers a wide range of water sports, including motor boating. The dock can hold a boat up to 22' in length, and guests can explore the stunning lake with a 2-seater kayak provided by the cabin. When you need a break from the water, head to Pleasant Mountain to explore the nearby hiking trails. The cabin is also conveniently located only 20 miles from North Conway, NH, which offers outlet shopping, recreation and hiking in the White Mountains, and just 10 more miles to Story Land.

Great place...but...bats

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First impressions of this log cabin home were outstanding. We thought we would be renting this year after year. The property was also amazing...two docks, separated by a long distance, a nice sandy beach, complete privacy and quiet. The kitchen are is small, but was well equipped. Beds are comfy. But...every night I heard noises consistent with rodents. Sunday my daughter woke us up screaming that there was a bat flying around the first floor room. We tried to get it out, but it just disappeared. After that sighting, we were on high alert, didn't really sleep well. Fast forward to Wednesday, we had two bats. As a result of bat exposure, we needed to get rabies shots. So lots of time wasted as a result of this cabin. ER visit in Bridgton for 6 of us + 4 follow up shots. I would not recommend this home until they straighten out the bat problem. Seriously disappointed.

Found the layout in terms of bathrooms prohibitive: Upper loft had private bath, while others--often totaling 8-all had to share one. Would have liked to have been provided more kayaks
