The home is cozy and central and we enjoyed walking our dogs in the town of Carmel, eating at the restaurants and going to the beach/hiking. We will definitely be back :)

Private, Secure, comfortablek and walk everywhere!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sea Shell Cottage was perfect for my wife and I and out 4 year old. It had everything we needed and more. There was easy access, a small private yard to store my bike. It was 3 blocks to the Main Street and we walked everywhere, including to the beach and back. Sanctuary Vacations only picks the best rentals and never leaves a stone unturned.

Bargain Hideaway

Sea Shell Guest Cottage is a bargain. You aren’t going to beat it for the daily price if you want to be in Carmel for a month. While the interior photos are accurate, the exterior is little more than an annex behind a garage. So private—yes—if you are okay surrounded by fencing with little more than a narrow walkway in between. The recommendation is to book a nicer place for two or three weeks instead of going the month-long bargain route.

Sanctuary's Seashell Guest Cottage is a private updated cute guest house located behind the main house, not a garage, that has a private entrance located on a separate street. Many of our past guests have loved the convenient location to the park and 5 minute walk to town. We have kept it affordable for guests to enjoy and the totally enclosed fencing works well for pets. It does have a nice small area in the back with grill, table and chairs and typical Carmel flowers and landscaping. Part of Carmel's charm is the cottages tucked away. I am sorry that you were unhappy with the exterior of the guest cottage as we always want our guests to be happy and would like to help you with another house should you return. Hidden Property

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was very difficult to locate and the staff in the office didn't offer much help with providing directions. The welcome pamphlet was 50% incorrect-no trash receptacle-you have to use the neighbor's bins, no picture of the front of the property, there was an ant issue along the walkway to the front of the property. I would not stay here again- I felt claustrophobic with having several homes surrounding the property and it was so small. The fireplace made it cozy inside.

Cozy Home with all the Amenities

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Sea Shell Cottage is cozy but well-equipped with everything you need for a month-long stay. The fenced-in yard was perfect for our little dog, and the patio was comfortable for BBQing on the gas grill. Plenty of cooking implements and pots and pans, and a gas stove and oven for making meals at home when not visiting one of the many wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Removed enough from the main road to be fairly quiet considering the location. Clean and comfortable! A great stay overall!

Cozy Cottage

The quest house was small but comfortable and served my needs very well. The only drawback was that, although I brought it to the property manager’s attention it was not remedied, I could not access my Netflix account on the tv so I had to use my iPad.

Carmel get away

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I left all the requested rental experiance paper work at the rental as requested so this seems a bit redundant. I am sure everyone is aware that our arrival was not great. Description of locating property was vague and outdated ( whit wire basket on front of gate with the word Sanctuary) large vehicle in our designated space, hose had not been checked out as lockbox code was incorrect and toilet was clogged. Office staff did work out a way for us to gain entry.

Perfect in every way

This is a fantastic place to stay. The house is spotless, furnished thoughtfully, and extremely well equipped. The location is so peaceful. I could tell that the owners really took time to make sure this was a great experience for any one staying in the home. The office staff are available, helpful, and very nice to deal with. I recommend this rental home and company highly and with out reservation. I will definitely be retuning to this location. Perfect.

Cozy and comfy

Everything went super smooth, the instructions were very clear. Everything we possibly needed was at the little cottage, and it was great to have a bbq too! Having internet access was a huge plus, as we took our computer to look up good places to eat or pretty hikes to go on. I would definitely recommend this place to any couple looking for a romantic getaway. It's a very private place with fencing all the way around, and we really liked that. We had considered taking our dog, and they do allow dogs at this cottage. They even provide supplies if you do decide to take your dog, as Carmel is super dog-friendly from what I hear. It was also really nice to have the Aquarium passes, because that saved us 60! Overall, a great place to stay :)

This rental was the sweetest get away experience!

I spent a weekend in this lovely cottage with my husband and my mother who was visiting us from Europe. We had a wonderful time here feeling as if we were at home. The interior of the cottage is beutiful and very comfortable. It's a small little place with everything in it one needs for a relaxing weekend. We loved the location also, as the house is in the herat of Carmel. Me and my husband are looking forward to returning for an other lovely weekend.
