We would definitely recommend this location. The home made you feel at home. We did spend much time at the home itself do to site seeing but when you came back it was home away from home.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
There were a lot of fees in the rental agreement that weren’t known at the time of booking. Many things in the cabin that couldn’t be touched because they were the owner’s things. The cabin had a funky smell and the furniture was covered in blankets. Just was not a very inviting atmosphere. We would not ever stay here again. Hosts were good communicators though.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that no additional fees were added after booking. All rental charges and fees were disclosed and paid through the booking process.
The home is privately owned and does contain some of the owner’s personal belongings. We appreciate your comments and are glad you found communication with us to be good.
Cozy little place! Two restaurants within walking distance! We were there to explore so we were not at the house much. Details were accurate and communication was excellent!
Everything was as described. We felt safe in the location. The kitchen was fully equipped and the table allowed for 4 adults and 2 small kids on the end to eat comfortably. We liked that there were multiple seating options in the living room and plenty of room for our kids to play on the floor. We were able to fit 2 twin blow up mattresses for the kids in one of the rooms, and we ended up moving one to the other room with space to spare. Would recommend!
We were very happy with the property. A very nice location. Everything was neat and clean and was very welcoming when we arrived. While sitting in the living room area we saw 2 deer walk in front of the window and around the side of the house. There is plenty of room to sit and converse. I took a walk each morning and the area is so pretty. There is a Snack Bar Restaurant just around the corner within easy walking distance that has great breakfast and lunch. Would definitely use this property again.
We stayed in winter, and one of us had sleeping problems because of the hot water heating system noise. If you are a light sleeper and it's winter, think about it.The other one of us had a problem with the number of items which were no-touch because they were the owner's private property. It just felt a little hostile, but if you have young children, it could really be problematic. You may want to bring flip-flops because the shower has a concrete floor. The drop-leaf table wouldn't open up. What there was with the leaves down was enough for the two of us to eat and play chess and cribbage, but if there are more than two of you, you'll have to eat in shifts. All that being said, the location is great if your plans take you to Eben, the place is clean, the dishes and cookware very nice. If you find salt and pepper shakers there, that was yours truly who bought and left them. Otherwise, bring everything for food, there's a little market two miles down the road.We needed snow removal twice - note, by the way, that there is no garage, and the dirt driveway is a little tight for turning - and the plow guy did show up.No place is perfect, and this could work for you if you can deal with the downsides.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for staying with us this winter. We’re glad you enjoyed the clean space, the well-stocked kitchen, and the peaceful location.
We’re sorry the heating system disrupted your sleep. As an older home, it does have its quirks—including the occasional sound from the hot water heat, especially during colder months. It’s part of the charm for some, but we understand it can be noticeable for light sleepers.
Regarding the drop-leaf table—it is fully functional, and we actually stopped by to assist, but missed you while you were out. We’re always happy to help with things like that in real time when given the chance.
We also want to note that the kitchen is stocked with a few spices, including salt and pepper—guests are always welcome to reach out with any questions about supplies if they are low or missing.
As for the labeled owner items, we’ll take another look to ensure everything feels clear and accessible without feeling unwelcoming. Your feedback is appreciated and helps us continue to improve.
Thanks again, and safe travels!
