Cozy log cabin with sauna, the perfect year round relaxing getaway! Built 2022

Relax and reconnect with nature at the Ottervale HilltInn. Our custom designed log cabin and sauna is located near the ❤️of the Kickapoo Valley and is ideal for those wanting to take in and explore the beauty of the Driftless area. The cabin sleeps 6 people comfortably. Two private bedrooms on ground floor-1 with a queen, 1 with a full and an open loft with 2 twin XL beds. The cabin living room and kitchen area has many windows that allows for lots of natural light and a beautiful view of the valley.

Outside a spacious patio overlooks a natural spring fed pond with fountain. Sit around the fire pit in Adirondack style chairs and enjoy cooking a meal on the gas grill.

The Sauna - Relax and rejuvenate in our cedar lined sauna, it’s amazing!

The cabin was so thoughtfully put together with just about everything one could need for a short stay. The sauna is also a great touch. Definitely hope to stay again!

Great weekend cabin stay!

Everything was just as described. The cabin was amazing, had everything we needed and the land around it was just beautiful for a relaxing stay. The owner was friendly and helpful and we saw a lot of wildlife in and around the property. What a great spot - can't wait to go back and stay again!

Perfect Choice for our end of summer trip

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ottervale Hillton. Steve the host was very responsive and the cozy cabin was beautiful, spotless and clean and is in a wonderful location. It’s definitely off the beaten path, but that’s exactly what we were seeking. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Great stay for fishing trip

Nice place, very clean and comfortable. Ideal spot for a fishing trip. There is a trout stream running through the property and we saw lots of wildlife from the porch. The sauna is a really nice touch and it was very welcomed after a long day chasing trout. Communication with Steve was very good and he came and checked on us making sure we had everything we needed.

Awesome experience in LaFarge

We had an absolute amazing time during our stay at the cozy cabin in LaFarge. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the fishing opportunities in the area and were able to warm our souls in the coolest sauna I’ve ever been in. Steve was an outstanding host and was very responsive with all communication. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone!

Cozy, peaceful retreat

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, well equipped cabin. We had everything we needed and the cabin was very clean and well kept. Beautiful setting on the stream. Enjoyed the fire pit and sauna! Cabin is convenient to Kickapoo Nature Reserve and Wildcat Mountain State Park. Host was very responsive and made sure we had a fantastic stay! Would definitely stay here again next time we visit the area!

Cozy Driftless Cabin

New cabin perfectly appointed for a western wisconsin destination wedding weekend stay. Beds are comfy, cabin is an amazing layout perfect for a home away from home gathering of adult children. From the kitchen, to the great room space, fire-pit over looking the pond and lighted fountain to the sauna, this property is everything you need and that which you didn’t know you needed, tucked away in a scenic valley complete with a brook weaving through grass pastures and picturesque amish farmland. The property was an absolute find and I highly recommend a visit or two…. would book again, and again, and again.

Awesome stay! It was a perfect getaway.

Absolutely beautiful place for my husband and I to get away. It was incredibly clean, had a great location, and comfortable beds. We loved watching the abundance of wildlife while enjoying the comforts of home. Steve was very responsive, gracious and quick to respond to all our questions as well as provide us with recommendations. He greeted us at the property, showed us around and made sure we knew how to work the sauna and fireplace. It was a bit cold for fly fishing, but my husband managed to catch a brown trout and love that he could fish right out the front door. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials that we needed. We will certainly be back for another relaxing stay.

5 STAR SPECTACULAR

We traveled to the area for a family reunion and chose to stay at Ottervale Inn. We booked 3 nights but at the end of those 3 days we were not ready to leave the beauty and comfort and were lucky enough to add a 4th night. The photos though beautiful do not come close to expressing the real beauty, quality construction and cleanliness of the cabin. The location is breath taking and easy to access. Our wonderful host Mr Olson is accommodating and has equiped the rental with every need and detail in mind. So much thought went into creating this lovely nest. My group was so pleased and in love with the home. I cannot wait to return again.

Great little cabin!

Nice clean new cabin on a working farm. Beautiful hills just across the field, nice trout stream 50 feet from the door. Actually has decent knives, which is rare in these rentals. Beds were comfy and water was hot. The sauna was very nice. There's a fountain in the pond right outside, which looks nice but is very loud. Fortunately the owner was very accommodating and explained how to turn it off when we wanted peace a quiet. Also note it's a working farm so there were tractors driving by occasionally, but we kind of liked watching them work. Owner was very very friendly and communicative, and lives just across the road so can help if there are any issues (not that we had any). Will definitely rent again if we're back in the area.
