Home is aged, poor water pressure in bathrooms, power at dock kept going out due to a tripped breaker that had to be reset several times.Leaves all over the decks that we cleaned off upon arrival.

WOW! perfect in every way!

Perfectly clean and furnished! Host was wonderfully responsive and kind! Location is excellent! No crazy boat traffic and noise! Beautiful swimming area! Caught catfish, bass and sunnies! Granddaughters ages 4 and 5 had a blast! Can’t recommend highly enough!

A week by the lake

My wife has wanted to spend a week by a lake for several years and we finally did it! The house was warm and inviting - clean, and well stocked. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the use of the kayaks

Incredible Peaceful Vacation

My family and I had an incredible time. The location, house, hot tub and boat dock were perfect. All the amenities you could ask for. We loved being able to jump into the warm water right off the dock. The kayaks and fishing were great. Perfect place to tie up my pontoon boat as well. Super quiet cove. Very little boat traffic. Highly recommended place to stay!

Perfect weekend away

The house was beautiful. The lake was fantastic. The amount of room and the deck space was incredible. We observed a family of snapping turtles, a beaver family and a blue herring. The rooms were clean the house felt cozy but not crowded. All of the essentials were provided. We had a great time and will hopefully be back!!!

Fantastic Lake Vacation

I can’t say enough positive about our stay. Beautiful house, fantastic hosts, we will be back!! This was my family’s first lake vacation and none of have ever stayed on Smith Mountain Lake and it didn’t disappoint. Growing up spending my summers on Table Rock Lake in the Ozarks this was like being a kid again. Don’t forget to enjoy the sunrise on the dock with a cup of coffee every morning while you are there. Lots of lake toys to enjoy and the fish were quite active amd junoing while we were there.

Host communication was prompt and professional. The house adequately accommodated our family of 7 and a toddler. Please note to check lake conditions! In July ‘26, the lake is very low which affects access from the dock and it was very rocky by land. We were able to dock a pontoon, but we had to jump down from the platform, which was a bit scary. The drive on water from Bridgewater Marina is about 15 minutes. The kitchen is well stocked, including cleaning supplies and baggies/foil type products. the beds are comfy and clean. As stated in the description- the water pressure fluctuates and at times we had no water pressure upstairs in the loft; showering is one person at a time. The living room is rather small for more than 5 people to sit and visit at once; photos are a bit deceptive about that. The cul de sac is very quiet and peaceful and remote. The view is great, but the deck needs some attention. The host generously provides kayaks and water play stuff as described in the listing. My sons enjoyed some fishing, and we got attached to “Sharon the Heron” (we named her). She seems to be the house protector. Overall, the house is cozy and comfortable, but think circa 1996 grandmas house vibes. A deep cleaning and some updates are needed. If you want pristine luxury, then this is not your place. If you want peaceful and cozy, then you will enjoy it.
