Great comfort, really close to town while still being secluded in a cozy way. Could not ask more of the accommodations and will be seeking out Dragonfly for our next visit to Grand Marais.
We had a mother/daughter getaway and the Dragonfly was absolutely amazing! Beautiful place inside and out. The craftsmanship for this cabin is gorgeous. The owners were very reachable and made everything easy. We will definitely go back again!
Peaceful and serene cabin - very comfortable beds and perfect layout. The timber frame work is something to behold. Very clean and extremely well supplied.
The hosts of Dragonfly truly know how to host! They make you feel like they want you to have a wonderful stay and not simply just making money off your stay. Our family of five never felt crowded in the cabin. The location is close to everything but in a peaceful place. Recommend this place for sure!
We had a wonderful time staying here, the place is absolutely gorgeous. The hosts are really friendly and easy to work with. It is the perfect location just outside of downtown Grand Marais tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but still an easy walk into downtown. We are already talking about planning another trip later this year. It was well equipped with everything you could need for a home away from home.
Dragonfly is the most charming cabin in the woods!
The architecture, detail, and funny quips reminding you of how to's around the house make this a wonderful stay! Everything in the house was comfortable, well equipped, and abundant. My extended family enjoyed card games and meals around the table, snowshoeing outside (we brought our own), and trips to North House Folk School while we were there. Dragonfly was the perfect home base during our stay and I hope to return sometime!
Incredible timberframe home, comfortably and beautifully decorated with every convenience provided. Location is superb, being private yet close to sights and Grand Marais. Property manager is very responsive and accomodating. Although there is so much to do in the area, we found we wanted to stay "at home" to enjoy the lovely home. Would love to go back again.
The interior (in particular) of this home is lovely! The exposed wood beams and butcher-block countertops are fantastic, and there is a feeling of seclusion here, even though it's barely out of town. The separation of the home into two sides worked really well, as folks in one side could bathe and do morning relaxation without impacting folks on the other side. Our family rented this to be a home base for cross-country skiing, and could not have been better served by this delightful abode. You will want for nothing in the kitchen (for tools and implements), which chefs will definitely appreciate. The host is obviously tasteful and thoughtful.
