Hot Tub, Close Walk to the Slopes!

The Wood Creek Lodge is a modern complex with unique amenities for Crested Butte. Expansive lower courtyard wrapped in green gardens in the summer and walls of white in the winter. Cozy up around the outdoor fire pit found in the center of the courtyard. Enjoy the communal grill and hang-out area next to the communal outdoor hot tub.

This 1 bedroom, 1 full bath condominium is located on the fourth floor of the Lodge and is accessible by elevator. You’ll find the kitchen, living room, dining room, and master bedroom as enter this one-level condominium. The kitchen is furnished with all appliances and is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to cook a meal for friends or family. Seating for 4 at the dining table, and additional seating for 3 at the kitchen breakfast bar. Comfortable furnishings in the living room are complimented by a wood-burning fireplace and balcony access. The master bedroom features a king bed and TV with cable and streaming services for your enjoyment. There is additional sleeping room for 2 on the living room sleeper sofa. Outdoor complex parking for 2 is allotted. Communal, coin-operated laundry is available on the property.

The FREE Mountain Express Shuttle runs year-round for transportation to and from the Town of Crested Butte and surrounding areas. The Wood Creek Lodge is located on the summer town route schedule which is every 20 minutes; shoulder seasons every 40 minutes. In the winter, Wood Creek Lodge is on a special condo loop shuttle that picks up every 30 minutes and brings you to the base area. The shuttle is not needed for ski access when the West Wall lift is in operation.

Crested Butte Lodging & Property Management provides the basic comforts of home. Upon your arrival, you’ll find that we supply all linens, towels, and paper goods. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, starter shower kits, coffee packets with powder creamer and sugar, kitchen towels, dish sponges, dish soap, and dish detergent. If you would like to arrange housekeeping services during your stay, please contact our office to schedule for a modest fee.

We enjoyed our stay at this condo, and overall it satisfied our needs well. It isn’t over the top, luxurious, but it was clean, comfortable, and a solid base for our trip.A couple of items could use some attention from management to make the experience even better.The cookware, dishes, and silverware are pretty outdated. In particular, the state knives were extremely flimsy and bent easily while trying to use them. a quick update to the kitchen supplies would make a big difference for guest, who like to cook.The parking lot currently lacks painted space lines because of this, guest tend to park quite far apart, which wastes space and made finding a parking spot pretty difficult when coming back at nightAll in all, we were pleased with our stay and appreciate the accommodations. with a few small upgrades. It would be even better.

The views from this fourth floor unit were amazing. The one bedroom unit is small but had plenty of space for my husband and I. We loved the deck off of the living room. The kitchen could use some updating of appliances but everything worked well. The only negative was mold around the bathtub in the tile. We enjoyed our stay and would rent this unit again!

Great Mountain Escape

Bus stop is located right by the unit—I’d encourage the property management to include a map (in their helpful check in book) for the different nearby bus stops so it’s easy to locate. Also it’s helpful to know the nearby chair lifts are definitely within walking distance if you don’t want to take the bus to the main lodge. Hot tub was always available! We didn’t use the fireplace but lots of firewood on the patio.

Nice location and exactly as described. Very positive experience. The only negative would be that the furniture is very dated, but given that we spent little time in our rooms, it was not a big deal, Would use again.

Convenient, clean, and As-advertised

Exactly what we were looking for, we had two adults and an 8-year-old. We took turns on the pull-out couch which was surprisingly comfortable. Appreciated the humidifier (a must have!). Kitchen was stocked with the essentials. Large bathroom with great shower pressure. Lobby was updated, parking was easy, walk was short to the lifts. TV could be larger though 😀.

Great weather.

Great visit until fireplaces workers came the last day and spent the afternoon rippping out the old fireplace and putting in a new one. I wasn't expecting that and no one inform me that that was going to happen.

Reviewer Comments: We are a family of 4 and with the sofa couch it accommodated us well, the condo is a little outdated but everything worked just fine and we were able to cook morning and lunch meals while there, it is a short walk to the base of the ski area and was a good warm up. The bus stop is just outside of the condo and don’t have to drive to town if you don’t want to for dinner, etc. overall great stay

Great location, not the best stay for off season

Our search criteria for our weekend getaway was pretty much location, fireplace and hot tub. The location is great and right in front of the shuttle, however the hot tub was closed for the season and fireplace was not working. We weren’t notified of any of that. We were also given the wrong shuttle schedule at check in. Again the location was convenient and the place was clean and just what we needed, but poor communication overall.

Nice and cozy

Our stay was nice, the bed was cozy, and we were close to the lifts. I would not describe it as ski-in ski out but it is just a short walk, about 100 yards, to a lift. The condo had everything we needed and the hot tub with views was great after skiing. Both saunas were inoperable during our trip. The check-in/out process is not ideal as you have to go to a building up the road to get and return your keys. Property management was very responsive the one time we needed something.
