PGA West Luxury 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Condo on Nicklaus Course

Relax on the patio with a drink and your friends while watching a sunset behind the mountains and a view of the golf course.. This luxurious ground floor, three bedroom condo is located within the gated community of PGA West in La Quinta, CA. It is situated on the fifth fairway of the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Golf Course. The condo is detailed with designer furniture that offers a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere. It sleeps 6 adults in 3 bedrooms and features a master bedroom with king bed, a guest room with a queen bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. (There is an additional queen mattress in a closet.) There is also a cot, foam pads and a sofa which can be used for extra guests. There are two full baths as well as its own laundry room. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare a dinner party for twelve. There are 4 TV's with cable and DSL internet.

Right outside the front door is the pool and jacuzzi. There is a two car garage - one large car or 2 small cars can park in the garage and others can park on the street. There are six golf courses at PGA West - Stadium and Nicklaus Tournament Courses are public. There are two clubhouses within the complex each with a restaurant. Also there are 4 bicycles with helmets are also in the garage for you to use.

Just minutes from the Silver Rock Public golf course, the Eldorado Polo Club (Coachella and Stagecoach Festivals), the Indian Wells Tennis Center (BNP Paribas tennis tourney), and El Paseo shopping district as well as the cities of Palm Springs,
Rancho Mirage, and Palm Desert offering hundreds of restaurants and shops of all types. Enjoy the yearly events of the Career Builder golf tournament, BNP Paribas Tennis Open, HITS Thermal Horse Show, Coachella Music Festival, and Stagecoach Country Music Festival, National Pickleball championships - all within a ten minute drive. Fritz Burns Park has free tennis and Pickleball with lights. Great hiking nearby.

Exactly as described

The condo was clean, spacious and contained everything I needed from coffee to laundry soap to plenty of linens. The area is quiet with lots of space to bicycle (and bikes were available) and walk. Not far from groceries and event venues and restaurants. I felt very safe. The owner was very communicative and helpful. I'd rent again, no question.

Wonderful host

The owners were helpful and responsive! Answered questions almost immediately! Just a few suggestions for them…..de clutter the unit. Almost very closet and cabinet were full of “stuff”. Found it hard to find a spot for our own things. The garage was also full of “stuff”! Also, the linens need to be updated. Some were torn and tattered. Overall…the unit was great for our 5 weeks.

Thanks for your review and suggestions. Torn linens were replaced. One closet has an extra mattress which sometimes is needed. There is plenty of space to store clothes in closets and dresser drawers. Golf cart and 5 bicycles take up space in garage. We replaced living room furniture and old furniture is in the garage - we will have it removed soon. There is room to park 1 car in the garage

Great stay after cooling down and cleaning up

A beautiful property with lots of room, supplied with everything we needed with several families staying together. It was comfortable and great for family with children. There was a problem with property being ready for us. It was summer, over 115 high humidity and the air conditioner had not been turned on in preparation of our arrival. There were a few dirty dishes and sheets. Like someone had stayed after it had been cleaned. We still had a wonderful time after we cooled down and cleaned up. I would recommend the property manager check the property and start the air conditioner prior to your stay.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Our condo was cleaned several days before your stay. We rarely have people stay during the summer when it is so hot and therefore it would be very costly to run the AC. Most people arrive in the evening when it is cooler and the AC works very quickly so I would suggest that people go in and turn on the AC 1st in the summer. Then get your bags and enjoy the pool, the jacuzzi and the beautiful view of the stars for 15-30 minutes while the condo cools down. Thanks for letting us know that there were dirty dishes and sheets. We hadn't changed the lock code for a while and it's possible that someone used the condo without permission. We will make sure to change it each time. We are easily reachable and should be called with any problems like this. In our 12 years of renting this is the 1st time this has happened. It's a spacious, fully stocked condo with a family vibe right in the middle of a golf course and 10ft. away from the pool. Specifically, Beth was incredibly hospitable and communicative. We recommend staying there to anyone visiting the Palm Spring/La Quinta area.

4th Getaway

The property was perfect for our group to be able to go to a friends home in Palm Golf Club. The only issues we had were that the WiFi would not work and some of the electrical outlets did not work, but over all was exactly what we needed.

Excellent all around!

Great property, great responsiveness, great location. The room is big , spacious and well laid out. You are on the #5 hole if the Stadium Course. Free use if bikes (4) and golf cart. Pool is steps from door, corner location. Owners were very easy to work with and very friendly. Could not have asked for more. Would definitely stay here again.

Birthday weekend!

It was a well welcome staycation and birthday getaway for our middle son. We all enjoyed the location, comfort and the blessed sound of quietness! We have enjoyed a break from the pandemic, virtual school, and homeschooling . We had all the comforts of home. The only thing we had to bring was food and personal items. I would recommend this place to friends and family!

Clean/good location

The condo is clean and in a nice location. Communication with host was prompt and check-in was simple and easy. The only negatives are the place is need of an upgrade and there can be quite a bit of noise from the upstairs unit.

Great location right by the community pool. Nice view of the golf course. Well equipped kitchen. We had a few issues during the month we were there and Beth and Eli could not have been more responsive and eager to either directly fix the problem or find an alternative solution. For example, the garage door would not open with our car inside it. I informed the owners at 10:00 on a Sunday morning and a repair person was there by noon. Problem solved. While this would not normally be mentioned in a review, we were there during the Coronavirus outbreak so life was different. The condo was incredibly well-stocked with paper products, including toilet paper. We normally would have replaced what we used but finding toilet paper, in particular, was an impossible task. I recommend this property.

2 Months of sunshine!

Upon arrival we were surprised to learn there was an upstairs apartment. One set of folks upstairs arrived late one Friday & left at 5:30 AM on Sat with great fanfare! We spoke to them Sat afternoon & they were very respectful upon departure on Sunday. The next renters were considerate & actually kept a similar activity level as us; no issues, just got use to people walking around above us. The owner addressed some issues regarding some extra cleaning. The linen closet is PACKED w/ extra quilts & pillows (owners have no limit on # of people in the unit, their prerogative), but there is little floor space as the unit is packed w/ furniture. The master bed could use some new linens, they were torn at the corners & the quilt had tears underneath) but the bed comfortable. The back patio is delightful & we enjoyed our AM coffee in comfort. The LR furniture was equally comfortable. Having the pool next door was great!

Thank you Nancy for writing a review. I'm glad you enjoyed our condo and we will try to make it better. We will change our listing to let people know it is a downstairs unit. The photos should show that. Many people love not having to go up and down stairs especially when coming back from the pool and jacuzzi which are right outside. We have owned for 16 years and only in the past year have noticed more noise from upstairs. Our neighbor is very nice. However, she took out carpeting and the floors can be noisy especially when kids run around - it is very rare to have noise after 9 PM. We have asked her to put padding and carpets in the living room and down the hallways and we will share the costs with her. We do limit the # of guests to 10. The extra linens and quilts are in a linen closet and sometimes are used for the living room sofa or the extra mattress. Some guests feel colder than the others in their group and enjoy the extra quilts. We are glad the beds were comfortable. We will ask our cleaning service to make sure the newer linens are used and the ones with minor rips are kept in the closet for emergency use.

Very pleasant stay

A group of 4 golfers stayed at the condo, and found it to be very comfortable, well-located and equipped. We took advantage of the patio and BBQ to enjoy some outdoor dining and relaxation. The pool and hot tub is right next door, which was also well-used. We would certainly recommend staying here.

Butterfly Migration

Lovely east facing patio unit. Absolutely perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the warm morning sun. A wonderful treat to have butterflies migrating through the Coachella Valley during our stay. Each morning thousands of butterflies were migrating north down the 5th fairway of the Nicklaus Course. This unit has all the basics+ for a turnkey stay. No need to run to the store for a must need item.

We grew up in NJ and PA and have lived in CA for 27 years and have 3 children. Beth is a seller of spices to restaurants and Eli is a Psychiatrist.

Why they chose this property

We are a couple who have been married for over 45 years and live in Santa Barbara, CA. Even though we live in a beautiful place, we always loved getting away from the ocean and going to the desert to enjoy golf, tennis and other recreational activities. In 2004 we decided to buy this 3 bedroom condo so we could go there with our kids and hopefully eventually grandchildren and also have a desirable location for rental income while we are busy working.

What makes this property unique

Our unique features which make our place special are bikes, pool and jacuzzi right outside the door, comfortable furniture, 4 TV's with cable and wifi. Safe gated community and close to so many events and beautiful view of the golf course.
