The Mendocino art center is wonderful. We loved being in town and so near the ocean. We loved our little apartment. The only thing I would request is that the outdoor lights are super bright, for them to be turned off at night. They’re not gentle lights. They are very bright, LED blue lights. Even though we had curtains, the lights came in from all around and made the room pretty bright at night. We stayed for two nights, and both mornings around 5:00 AM, somebody banged around in the shed below us. I’m assuming it was the gardener. The gardens are beautiful! I will say that the shower stall is very very small. I am 5’3”, 115 pounds, and it was very cramped for me. We loved our stay and would come back if it weren’t for the bright lights. Mendocino Village is absolutely charming, beautiful and such a magical place to stay.
