We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, everything was perfect. One recommendation would be to update the fire restrictions to current status to better inform guests. The date on the posted restrictions was 2023 so we presumed they were out-of-date.
Great little spot and was perfect for our anniversary trip! Owner was very responsive and helpful when needed. The location was different for us, but very quiet!
The LOVE shack is most definitely that! The built in speakers that link via Bluetooth is fabulous. We most definitely loved the shower design. Great creativity to the designer. It is a quiet and peaceful place to unplug and reconnect with your spouse. The hot tub stayed a constant temp at 104* which is perfect for the cooler mountain temps. We most certainly appreciated the stack of clean towels. Would recommend this place!

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
The host was initially accommodating in changing our dates due to the floods, but there were significant logistical issues that needed to be addressed. The cabin we rented was unavailable, and we were given a different one without any prior information about its appearance or amenities. This new cabin turned out to be just a studio, smaller than the cabin originally booked, smaller than a hotel room, and double the price. Additionally, we only found out upon arrival that there was no water due to the floods. While I understand this was beyond the host's control, a simple heads-up would have made a significant difference. After driving for three hours, we were left with an unacceptable option for a refund. Fortunately, my husband took the initiative to ask for assistance, and the host kindly allowed us to stay in the larger main house. Although our stay was manageable, I strongly encourage future guests to clarify the specifics of their cabin before arrival. The property itself was beautiful and well-maintained, but the lack of communication about the situation and the limited options provided were disappointing. Better transparency in these matters is essential for a positive guest experience.
My husband and I travel to Ruidoso every year and this cabin far exceeded our expectations!! We will definitely be returning to one of Alfredo’s cabins next year!
