We live on the property in the main lodge. We are available to ensure your stay is exactly how you want it to be. We book all the top tours and experiences in the area and we will share with your amazing digital guidebook after your booking.

Our preferred method of communication is through WhatsApp a free app for your smartphone. We have a business account for Casitas Del Rio. With WhatsApp you can text or call us with no international fees. In fact over our wifi on the property you can call or text anywhere in the world for free.

Uvita, Costa Rica we are centrally located on the Pacific Coast so you can easily do day trips North to Manual Antonio or south to the Osa Penisula. Uvita is home to Ballena Bahia or Whales Tail Bay, the most popular beach and national park. The whales spend a longer time here than any other area in the world!

The quaint beach town of Uvita and the lovely beaches of Playa Ballena, Playa Colonia, and Playa Hermosa are a 5 minute drive from your Casita. Dominical, the popular surf town with its funky bohemian beach bar vibe, is a 12 minute drive north.

We offer 2 villas(Toucan & Macaw), 1 x deluxe villa(La Rana), & 2 premium villas(Tortuga & Sloth) with private jacuzzis. All are located on an amazing river near the Pacific Ocean. Our location allows quick and easy access to several beaches, grocery stores, restaurants, banks, and many adventures. The small town of Uvita and the lovely beaches of Playa Ballena, Playa Colonia, and Playa Hermosa are a 5-minute drive from your Casita. Dominical, the popular surf town with its funky bohemian beach bar vibe, is a 12-minute drive north.

Our Tortuga Premium Villa perfectly accommodates 2 people and is thoughtfully furnished with queen sized bed, a bathroom with a granite sink, a powerful large shower, & Wi-Fi. The kitchen is complete with all the necessary utensils you require to cook your perfect meal & includes dishes, an induction smooth top stove-top, an oven, a full-sized fridge, a microwave oven, a toaster, & a coffeemaker. After stocking up on a few groceries in nearby Uvita, you'll have everything you require to prepare your gourmet meals.

Outside the Tortuga Premium Villa, you will enjoy the lush tropical plants and trees that surround Casita Del Rio and provide you with a true jungle feel. There is private secure parking next to your accommodation. The deck is covered and has the added benefit of a table and chairs next to your private jacuzzi tub. Enjoy a view of the river and jungle. Hear the Congo monkeys howl, watch the toucans fly from tree to tree, and dip your toes in the cascading ripples of the river right in front of your porch. We have a 50ft pool for you to relax in, or take a leisurely stroll upriver to discover a hidden waterfall and more natural swimming holes. We also have covered lounge areas along the manicured nature trails. There is also a charcoal grill in the BBQ in the garden. You are welcome to use the grill, but you do need to purchase the charcoal needed for your cooking.

We take bookings for individuals, families, or groups. You could even rent all 5 Villas for a private family or friend getaway, or an intimate wedding ceremony.

Our area offers stunning mountain and coastal scenery. The massive national park includes 4 beaches, the largest coral reef in the country, and of course the massive migration of whales. They stay longer here than in any other place in the world. Paddleboarding, adventure tours, hiking, kayaking, zip-lining, whale & dolphin tours, bird-watching, horseback riding, hidden waterfalls & swimming holes, deserted beaches, surfing, ATV tours, and more! We are 5 minutes from a small town with restaurants, banks, and grocery stores, yet you feel far away from it all in our private river sanctuary surrounded by primary forest.

We can arrange an airport transfer or assist you in renting a car at the airport or here in Uvita. We are 1hr from Manuel Antonio.

The local town of Uvita has a bus system that is clean, safe, and affordable. You can easily take day trips to Manual Antonio National Park, Sierpe, Jaco, or all the way to San Jose with no problem.

You can also rent a car in Uvita if you want to explore the neighboring areas. Uvita is very centrally located so with a rental car you can do day trips to Manual Antonio, Ojochal, Domincal, Perez Zeldon, San Isidro, or even Sierpe or Corcovado National Park.

In Uvita, you can also rent bicycles or scooters to enjoy exploring the town and beaches.
