This vintage City Cottage was built in 1925 and is newly updated. Offering a relaxing costal cottage feel. Located close to Lee Memorial Hospital, Edison Mall, downtown, and tons of shopping and dining. The City Cottage features 2 bedrooms each with a king bed, a living room with a 70 inch TV, a den with an office desk and 50 inch TV, a large private pool with relaxing lighting, a wonderful sunset and city light view. The kitchen features new LG appliances. Bring your dog! 🐶 (1 dog max).

The house seemed to be in a rather sketchy neighborhood. After opening the door we had to cross the room in the dark to find the light switch. The kitchen countertop had a large chunk broken off and the blinds were all broken. The sliding glass door to the pool only opened on one side. We turned around and left. The owner refuses to refund any money, saying it is completely as advertised. There was nothing mentioned about this house being built in 1925 and that it was old and had a smell. Never saw the pool as we turned around and left.

Our property manager was great, quick at responding. However, the house was less than desirable. Ants and cockroaches. Uneven floors with high transitions that were a constant trip hazard. The furniture was very uncomfortable. The pool was not heated and the pool furniture was less than desirable. Photo’s on VRBO were very deceptive. I would not recommend this property as a vacation rental.
My feet were black from the floors.
When I looked at the window in the bedroom next to my bed there was black dirt and dead bugs all frame.

Very dirty as soon as we walked in our socks were sticking to the floor. Floor boards were coming up. Edge of the pool was crumbing. All of the outside equipment was falling apart. We were going to go to Home Depot to get cleaning supplies to clean the house so we could still stay there but when we went outside the stove was connected through the wall to a soft line to a propane tank and the tank was leaking (very loudly spraying gas out). We did not feel the beds and bedding was clean so we did strip the beds to rewash before we decided to leave. The shower had hair and dirt in it. VERY dirty. We did call and get our money back through Vrbo, their customer service was very nice. We did not stay here and ended up finding a motel for the first night and a hotel for the rest of our stay. Would absolutely not recommend this host or house to anyone.

Great: Zac, the manager, was Great! He was quick to respond and correct any issues. Pool was delightful. Most of the appliances worked very well. Beds were comfortable. Property very clean. Set of amenities and toiletries were available for guest use.Easily accessible bathroom. Shower was great!Not so Great:Must emphasize - Zac was quick to repair and correct any issues that arose. He responded within the same day, usually within hours.Office TV does not work. Bedroom TVs were difficult to work. Zac was very quick to provide replacement parts to fix the issues.Front door does not latch. Must be kept locked to keep secure. Deadbolt sometimes has difficulty engaging and can take multiple tries to engage and disengage.Living room and kitchen floor wood planks uneven in spots and some nail heads sticking up. Recommend wearing shoes or slippers.Doorknob to front bedroom is broken and needs replacement. Guest became stuck in room when latch and knob jammed. Door had to be forced.Concrete around pool edge is broken and getting worse.Pool ladder in deep end is non functional. Steps in shallow end are fine.Mileage may vary:Location: Right off strip (Strip club at intersection, half a block away.)Road is very busy with a lot of traffic at night.Florida has Ants. Lots of them. Residents live with them ALWAYS. This house is not an exception.The appliances nag a lot.
