What a wonderful place to stay! Our family had a little getaway there and th place was wonderful. Clean and cozy and well-stocked. Deer running around and easy access to the river. We all enjoyed it and would definitely return for another stay there.
The spot was perfect, the cabin was stocked well and Madison was a great host.

Thank you for the kind words! I was so happy you chose our cabin for your annual fishing trip. There are many difference places to launch boats, bank fish, wade, and go see hatcheries. I hope to host you again in a future so you can explore them all!
We were looking for a nice place to stargaze. Cabin in the Trees is next to several open fields that made stargazing on property in multiple fields of view possible. Was a nice, quiet & relaxing starry stay!

Nice place with close access to a private ramp on the Cumberland River.
My father-in-law and I were looking for a place to stay while fishing the Cumberland River. Access to the private ramp was really close and allowed us to fish a new stretch of the river. Communication with the property manager was easy and pleasant.

Thanks Glenn for the review! Hope to see back again soon!
Great Getaway very close to the Cumberland River and shared boat ramp. We spent one day fishing at the river and a couple days visiting both Dale Hollow Lake and Lake Cumberland. The cabin is about 20 minutes from both lakes. The cabin was so cute and well stocked! We even painted rocks and left them with others. We loved building a fire in a great fire pit. One set of sheets on one of the bunk beds did not seem freshly cleaned but that could easily be just a one time error. It did not change an overall great experience!

I am so glad you found the cabin and surrounding area relaxing. We love the field trip options as well. I look forward to seeing the rocks that your family painted. Thanks for leaving them for others to enjoy as well. I appreciate bringing to our attention the sheets. While I am confident they were clean, it appears a pair of sheets have a stubborn stain. We will get that set replaced promptly. Thanks for choosing our cabin as your relaxing family getaway.
I stayed at the Treehouse September 21-22nd - this is paradise for trout fishermen (and women !) ! The property looks out over a wide swath of farmland where deer could be seen grazing. The Cumberland River is a short walk down from the cabin and from the ramp you can walk out into the river and chase trout ! I caught two nice rainbows early Sunday morning, and then switched over to my boat from the ramp in downtown Burkesville. The weather was perfect all weekend.
Madison goes beyond the call of duty to make certain your stay is enjoyable - I will be back !

Thank you for the kind words! We see a different animal every time we visit. We even have bald eagles in the area! If you bring your waders, you can really explore the area around the boat ramp and catch some beautiful fish. One day, my husband also walked right into a beaver along the bank!
I thought the accommodations were great. The host was very responsive. My only criticism is that the description gave me the impression that the place was within a few steps of the river. That wasn’t the case. I probably wouldn’t have chosen the property had I realized that the river access was shared and separate from the property. I was disappointed by this. I think the description needs to specify that the access is a couple of tenths of a mile….. or at least one tenth from the cabin. Other than that, I thought everything else was excellent.

Thank you Buck for your review! You were a wonderful guest and are welcomed back any time. Your feedback is appreciated, and the following changes will be made immediately: our photo map of river access will be moved further up in the photo gallery so people can identify the layout of the property more clearly, and I will give a rough estimate of distance to the river versus and estimated time of walking distance. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to improve expectations for future guests.
Thank you for the review! I am glad you enjoyed the quiet getaway. Come back again to continue to explore the river, hatcheries, and Natural Rock Bridge!
