Close to town yet quiet. Beds are incredibly comfortable. Great communication with host. All you may possibly need. Spacious and cozy. Nearby restaurants, hiking and things to do.
We had everything we needed and a it's in a great location for exploring wineries and the area. Everything in the house was in good working order and the beds were very comfortable. If you plan to cook, the kitchen is super well equipped. I loved that it was dog friendly too. If you only stay in VRBO's that are purchased as investment properties and never lived in, this is not the place for you. It is cozy and clean, but lived in. There's a cool old cemetery behind the church across the street too!
We'd probably stay here again, but we did have a few small issues. One is the Nest thermostat being a bit wonky at times, resulting in some rooms being way hotter than others. Even with closing vents off in certain rooms. Another being I wish they left more empty drawers and closet space. It's very obvious someone is living there full-time when it's not rented out, which is fine, but it's better to disclose that on the listing and please make room for the people renting the place out. I also do agree with the previous review about the couch smelling musty. It was very musty and needs to be cleaned heavily. Guess this is a bit expected since it's a pet-friendly house, but it badly needs a good deodorizing at the very least. My wife and our 1 year old had a great time overall, though. The owner, Rick, is also very friendly and responds to messages quickly.
House is very quaint and clean. Owner was great with fast communication when a question arose. Nice and close to what we came in town for. Thanks for a great stay

Reasonable.
The location was exactly as described, close to Watkins Glen trails and wineries. The beds were very comfortable! It was obvious that someone lives in the house, with food in the fridge- and it certainly left us feeling we were in someone's personal space. A definite pet-odour around the sofa area in spite of an air purifier running in the living room. All in all, a decent place for one night, close to the areas we wanted to explore.
Great place. Fully furnished and stocked with pretty much everything you can think of. Host was excellent in communicating with me. Would definitely recommend and will definitely rent this place again.
Very cute home! Updated and cleanly. It was perfect for our group! Super easy to check in and out. 4 of us stayed the night, and all slept very well. The king size bed was actually a cloud! Everything we needed and more! Thank you so much, we all said next time we need to extend our stay!
We enjoyed our overnight in the cottage! It was clean and comfy with all the amenities we needed. The location was great for us to access the wine trail. Would definitely stay there again!
One never knows what to expect when you agree to rent a place , but this house was right on point! It was spacious and cozy, and the neighborhood was nice and quiet, even though it was for only one night we enjoyed our stay very much. As did our two dogs, it was like a vacation for them also.
The host gave me the code for the deadbolt but was supposed to leave the door handle unlocked. She didn't. I called and texted her numerous times because I couldn't get in, she wouldn't answer at all. I had medication that needed refrigerated that I had to throw out because I couldn't get into the VRBO. Then I found a pregnant couple living in the garage on a mattress who informed me that the host was mentally unstable and in and out of drug treatment. They also had a dog that they told me was not friendly - keep in mind I booked this trip with my dog who was with me. They luckily removed the window a/c unit for us and at 9 months pregnant she crawled through the window to let me in. The house had not been cleaned. There was trash everywhere, there was no toilet paper or paper towels. The beds were slept in. The trash cans were full and there were no additional trash bags. The refrigerator was full of old food and half dranken drinks.weeks later the host still hasn't gotten back to me, I was not refunded.
We also had went to a bar while there. The locals joked about how we hopefully weren't staying at the house on church street across from the church which we stated we were. They then told us to be careful because the home owners are sketchy, the police frequent the home and they warned us to check our Bluetooth when we got back because they knew the owner and could see her installing cameras to creep on people.
Worst experience EVER.
We greatly enjoyed our night at your property! Everything was very tidy and cozy, and the location was perfect to visit the wineries on Seneca Lake. We also were inspired looking through some of the cookbooks in the kitchen! Thank you!
It was a great place. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with great spices, pots , pans and ect.
I would definitely recommend this place.

house in the woods
very very comfortable and well renovated, a nice space. host tried to help with answering all my questions. clean overall but a couple of things like the washing machine had not been looked at or cleaned and there was old laundry in it and old food in the fridge.
I loved my stay here! It’s in a perfect location for exploring. It is very spacious with a great floor plan for larger groups. The lighting was great throughout and it was super clean, very easy to find and get into. I used the queen bed which was soooo comfortable! The kitchen was stocked with many different spices and had anything you could need for cooking. Communication was excellent. I felt really safe and the area is quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend, and hope to come back!
We stayed at this VRBO because of its proximity to Watkins Glen, which we wanted to spend a couple days touring. The town was no more than 8-10 minutes away - perfect. The house was easy to find and clean upon arrival. There were no issues communicating with the owners. Thank you for hosting our family!
