A beautifully landscaped yard and patio allow for quiet relaxing with expansive summer living space! Very close to Lambert's Cove Beach, local farm stands, restaurants, and West Tisbury Village. Ideal for family reunions and special events.

The property was great overall and Colin was pleasant and very responsive. We had no issues except that the Wi-Fi was spotty and the 10am check out time was earlier than most. The location of the property is pretty secluded so you should have transportation and expect to see wildlife.

We loved our stay. Its further away from locations we typically go to but the home was so lovely and fit our needs so well we would go back. The host communicated well and id seen some concerns from other reviews about not being able to open the windows but I totally understood the request of the owner given the trees and the potential. I would say cell service was a challenge and sometimes connectivity in some parts of the house. If you have a booster bring it. Lovely stay, great host.

The host Colin was all of Dat!!!I called him so many times and he was so patient with me for each call. For simple questions like about the thermostat to removing the garbage, even ferry questions. There were two of my guest that has never been to the Island. He didn't say you again when I called. Thank you Colin. The pictures look exactly like it does on the website. I had a total of 8 guest to celebrate my birthday and there's was enough room and then some for all of us;whether you wanted to go outdoors and browse around, lay on the hammock, have a seat at one of his nkock and crannies. Kitchen and dining room was spacious enough for all of us and packed with plates and sliver-ware and extra goodies. The living room and family room was also spacious too. We watched a movie one night, another night we BBQ'D and lit the firepit; and just relaxed. The rooms were all clean, and fresh towels, hand clothes in what Colin's calls the rainbow room. There was one huge closet with more towels and wash clothes, blankets, and I think I even saw a blowup bed ; that we didn't have to use because it was soooo spacious. The guest that stayed in the cottage was pleased with their stay and privacy. We saw deer, chipmunks, chickens,etc. The only thing I didn't like was VRBO NOT Colin when listing the price for the stay it said all fees are included. All fees were not included. So with that exception everything was "Top Notch". Thank you again Colin for sharing your beautiful spacious home.

Amazing wedding weekend

We had the best stay at Colin’s property! We spent a few days enjoying the house before our wedding weekend. Each guest at the wedding couldn’t believe the beauty of the property. The house has everything you could need for your stay. Colin was timely in his communication and was quick to fix any issues. We would 100% recommend staying here!

'Colin Whyte, President of Martha's Vineyard Construction, left his happy childhood home near Biscayne Bay, FL to start a wonderful and varied journey that would one day lead him to sailboat summers, Martha’s Vineyard mansions and a company built from fortitude and perseverance. “I had enough support and stability at home that I could just go. I never knew that when I left home at age 16, I’d never be back again.” Choosing to go to an all boys boarding school in Tennessee, McCallie School taught hard lessons of discipline and survival. It was there that Colin made life-long friends and began to desire the mysteries that life and experience had to offer.

In hope of avoiding a sojourn in Vietnam Colin took off on his motorcycle, partnered with friends, and threw himself into education and small-time enterprises. Self-taught, he learned how to run a successful business from varied jaunts including: house moving, dictionary selling, surfboard renting, interning in the Senate, and—finally, construction clean up. Graduating from Brown University with a liberal arts degree led him to a winter at Law School, and a stint back at Brown Graduate School in art. “Applying to schools, I was really just a kid trying to stay out of Vietnam; little did I know, it was the motorcycle that would save me. A serious accident taught me the power of the motorcycle. My back was handed a lesson and Martha’s Vineyard became my home.”'
