This was one of the best rentals I have had in over 2 years. My family enjoyed the hospitality and the pool was amazing. I can honestly say I would rent this again. We really missed staying there.

Beautiful home. Very comfy and had everything we needed. It was also very close to the beach and other activities that you can do in Lake Tahoe. Very clean when we entered as well.

The kids (age 11 and 8) LOVED the indoor pool! Plenty of space for our family of 9. Easy check in process. Highly recommend this house!

We stayed at the Zephyr Cove house May 11-13, 2026. We found the house to be in desperate need of maintenance. I will say the first floor of the house was clean and ready for us. However, the pool heater was broken, which meant the pool water was too cold for swimming. We were advised of the pool heater issue on May 9, just two days before our arrival. We were offered free cancellation or we could continue with our stay. At this late stage, we were very disappointed to hear this news as the pool was the main reason for our renting this property, but we opted to stay anyway since canceling would mean us trying to find another rental house on short notice. Upon check-in, we were shocked to find the backyard had a tree come down prior to our arrival and it had smashed through the fence. Plus, the backyard had not been cleaned of weeds and pine needles. We reported the fallen tree damage to the host and was told the property owner is fully aware and is working on having the tree removed and the fence repaired. We also found a few large pieces of old plywood, leaning against the fence in the backyard. The upper deck was clean, but not the lower deck in the backyard. We also noticed window screens were leaning against the house. We were sad that we didn’t have a better experience.

Brenda, In good faith, we gave you both options to cancel for free and/or continue with the understanding of the issues with a discount provided. All the items were scheduled for immediate repair, however they do take some time which is why we gave you the two options.
