Reviewer Comments:
This home was perfect for our family vacation this year. It was clean, comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals from nice cookware to utensils and plates. All king size beds and the AC was a game changer, as well. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing to note is that this home has stairs everywhere, so it may not be the best choice for anyone with mobility issues or who has difficulty climbing stairs.

Hi Erica, thank you for the wonderful 5-star review! We're thrilled your family enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable king beds, and AC at Reece's Peek of the Lake. We also appreciate your helpful note about the stairs for future guests. We'd love to host you again!
Great location with a short walk to Skylandia beach and quick drive to Tahoe City. House is older and could use updating especially in the bathrooms, that said, everything is in working order. AC works very well on the main level but not great on the second floor where the Primary Bedroom and bath are located. The bed linens and pillows in the bedrooms need to be replaced immediately. Pillow inserts are old, stained and smell. I wish I had brought my own linens and pillows. There are no extras for beach; bring your own towels, chairs and umbrellas.
We had a great stay at this home! Bedrooms are all a great size, beds are very comfortable. Overall everything was clean and cozy during our winter trip. One of our favorite highlights was a view of the lake from the living room area. It’s a small view but just enough to see the lake, mountains and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Tahoe city is very close, great location to access shopping, food, activities

Reviewer Comments:
This house had its benefits and absolutely had its negatives. Location was great and cleanliness was great too. If you are planning to cook in the kitchen, maybe bring your own nonstick pans since all the teflon they had were horribly scratched and unusable. We had to buy our own. Another reason I would t stay here again were the bath tubs. Full of black mildew and scratches all over. They tried covering it with a water mat but that just became slimy and gross. Maybe bring slippers to use in the shower?

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you appreciated our great location, cleanliness, and service.
We apologize for falling short with the cookware and bathtub condition. We have immediately replaced the kitchen pans with a brand-new set, along with several other new kitchen items, and scheduled maintenance to thoroughly clean and address the bathtub.
We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention so we could fix them promptly, and we hope to host you again in the future!
Stayed at Tahoe many times over the last 25 years. This house was one of the better values for layout and location. Pictures extremely accurate. Nice and clean and very comfortably arranged. The place had a strong sense of being a loved and used vacation property. The kitchen was one of the best outfitted I have stayed in. Yes - you still need to bring/buy condiments and spices/oil, but no dishes, knives or cookware. The electric grill outside works well although it’s limited space if cooking a larger meal.Beds and bedding super comfortable. Bathrooms more than adequate if showing their age a touch. Nice that with 2 baths, the upstairs one allows use of the sink/mirror while commode/shower in use. I have 3 daughters so that really helped cut down on arguments. Honestly loved the space and the living room and deck great for hanging out. Old Tahoe vibe throughout. And the unexpected AC was a nice bonus for late July afternoons. My only thought would be to include an air mattress or futon for the master BR. It’s easily 2x bigger than the other bed rooms and that space could allow someone an unshared sleep space. But overall loved it! Thanks for the great stay!We hope to come again soon.
The house is in a gorgeous location! The living room and fireplace were the highlight for us. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. Close to some great little restaurants in Tahoe City. We loved our stay!
We had previous booked another cabin, but the owner had to cancel based on plumbing issues. So I quickly checked the dates we needed and found this great Cabin. It’s close to beautiful beaches and not far from Safeway and Coffee Connection. Book it, you’ll be glad you did.

Great quiet cul-de-sac with views of the lake! The home is comfortable, homey and has all that you need for your stay. We hope to be back soon.
The house is as described and was comfortable. The highlight is being out and about. There is so much to do in the area, the house was really only needed for sleep and a few dinners. Some of the furniture is warm and well used but again - it really didn’t matter because we spent most of our time out. Wish the view of the lake was better, but at least we could see it from the deck. We had an overall amazing vacation.
I’m tired of short term rental owners going on the cheap. Three bedrooms and each guest had a poor night sleep and rest due to the condition of the mattresses. Sliding deck door lock and screen are broken. This owner has to start investing and refreshing their property.
This cabin was wonderful, very cozy, and had all we needed. The only negative was that both surrounding homes had ongoing construction going on from 8am-8pm for the entire week which was too bad for privacy and noise.
I would rate the property itself as a 9/10, it could use new towels. They were clean but need to be replaced as I think they’ve just been used too many times for too long.
Great house for our family of 4 and dog. Property management company communicated effectively and were great to work with. Great peekaboo lake view on patio. Air conditioning amazing. My kids loved all the art and animal themes throughout house.
On side note- there isn’t much room to unpack for food in pantry or clothes in dressers.
Other than that- a really incredible 10 days in Tahoe in this home.

a very nice stay though we had a problem with water : it was hard to get enough hot water for five showers.
*Besides, we couldn't reach you on a saturday to ask you what to do with the keys.
*an internet connection would be very useful
*we couldn't find the iron
Everything was really good except when I first got there there was some confusion about the pet policy. In the book it says no pets allowed at certain locations. I was unsure if this property was that certain location as my daughter-in-law was on her way with a dog. Online it said pet friendly, it needs to be more clear, not only online but in the welcome book.

Beautiful spacious home for 6 adults and 1 large dog. Location walkable to pet friendly Lake Forest beach. 7 minute drive to Garwoods, Tahoe City shops. Comfortable beds, 3 kings great for adult couples. Beautiful deck to relax with peek of lake. Electric BBQ was sufficient but slow to cook. Kitchen equipped with both Kuerig coffee maker and standard, also equipped with basic cookware, but knives very dull, bring your own if you are cooking meat and need sharp.Property manager was very accommodating when we had car issues and needed late checkout. Would return to this property.

Reviewer Comments:
The overall location and house readiness were acceptable. However, we soon learned that we had to take our dog through the garage entrance as the outside stairs were not dog pad friendly (sharp grill for snow melt). The view was nice but the climb from the drive to the first level was a bit much for seniors with luggage. I had to research via the internet to figure out how to operate the tv as the directions at the house are vague. There were mouse droppings in the corner of the main room. The cooking pans are not arranged well and, after searching through the cupboards, I also found that they were not adequately clean. I gave up trying to use the oven after reading through the manual three times. The lamp by the main bed didn't work. We troubleshot and found the wall plug was not working. WiFi is good in main room but inconsistent in bedrooms. We had to enter and exit the driveway at an angle to avoid scrapping our tailpipes.

Very good location and comfortable home.
The view is as promised, and the home is great. It's a mountain home so don't expect immaculate, but it's very clean, extremely well equipped, and nicely decorated. There's some neighborhood and weekenders noise, quite tolerable. The communication with the hosts was PERFECT. Two small issues were immediately addressed, and the response was surprisingly prompt and pleasant. Word of caution for more mature travelers, it's set on a hill, with a steep driveway, and a lot of stairs inside. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.
