The house was impressive. All the adults and kids in our multi-generational group had fun exploring every floor. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had.
The house was perfect for our stay. We had several couples stay visiting our kids for family weekend. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Mark was quick to respond to any questions. Would recommend this house to everyone.
We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect, close to everything we needed but still felt quiet and relaxing. The home had multiple sitting areas, which was great for spreading out and relaxing as a group. The beds were all very comfortable, slept great! Also, communication with the host was excellent, very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. Would absolutely stay here again!
family came in from both coasts and Arizona for a memorial service.
The historic Burr House is beautiful! Original owners in the 1860s were acquainted with Lincoln. Lovely woodwork, built in cabinets. Beautifully furnished with 6 bedrooms, great beds and bedding and towels. Plenty of hot water for 5 showers in a row one morning! Across the street is a charming park where children swing, people walk their dogs and the atmosphere is inviting. Great for reunions!
A must see and stay. A delicately preserved masterpiece!!
This historical masterpiece has been exquisitely refurbished and beautifully decorated. Wowza! The house was full of beautiful built-ins and fireplaces that were original to the home. The beds were pristine and super comfy for our stay. Each bedroom designed with purpose. These was plenty of living spaces and places to sit and gather. It was great for our large family. We were able to fix a delicious meal in the kitchen because it was well stocked with the things we needed. If you are wanting eclectic historical charm… look no further. This is your spot! Thank you Mark for being so accommodating to our family. Perhaps you and my daughter, who will soon be an ISU graduate too, can collaborate on designing another great place for visitors to stay! Five stars from our family!! You have done an amazing job with this property. Thanks again! We will be back!!
