Secluded 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath private home. A little over an hour to Hayward, less than 1/2 hour to Phillips with numerous lakes and 16 miles to Connors lake. Just a few minutes to the Flambeau forest which is open to public hunting. Less than a 10 minute ride to Flambeau Forest State trail. Access to UTV/ATV and snowmobile trails via legal roads from the home (no need to trailer). Large deck with patio furniture, gas grill and fire pit. Numerous bars/restaurants within a short distance away. Abundant wildlife.

This was a wonderful house. It had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again. The owners were very helpful, and the house was well-equipped with everything we needed. We also loved the wildlife that is around the house.

What a great property. Lovely and cozy place to stay with family! We were greet by wildlife almost immediately. Wild turkeys, deer, hummingbirds and all sorts of birds. The place is peaceful and quiet. You wont regret staying in this property. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Wifi is a necessity in this area, and their service was outstanding.

This is a great place. We had 3 families staying here w kids for our local "Friends and Family gathering" at the Catawba park. Downstairs has beds for those that need quiet space and there is a great deck where we saw a bunch of humming birds as well as turkeys and deer. Beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, and lots of places for people to hang out and play cards in the evening.

Pleasant and Scenic

Off the beaten path with lovey scenery and wildlife, this place offers a down to earth stay in a very well stocked house. Very close up views of whitetail was a big highlight!

4 generations of love.

I was very impressed with the property. This was my first experience with VRBO and every thing greatly exceeded my expectations. There was everything we needed and more. Truly a home away from home. Everyone enjoyed the property from an 87 year old great grandmother to the 2 year old great grandson.

The Waivin Havin was peaceful

Well laid out property, fully stocked kitchen, very clean and large. The lawn was well maintained and we saw some wild life! We will back.

Lovely stay in the Northland

The house was large and airy, and immaculate. The kitchen was very well-stocked with every kind of utensil, pot, pan, and dish. We enjoyed watching humming birds, turkeys, deer, chipmunks, herons, goldfinches, mourning doves, and squirrels. The yard was large enough for leisurely walks with our dog, and although we didn't use it, the fire bowl was beautiful. I can't recommend this rental enough!

Peace and quiet

Nice and clean. Property is well maintained and plenty of room. We only stayed upstairs. The jet tub was out of order but, didn’t bother us. Plenty of birds, lots of hummingbirds and other creatures to be found. We had a relaxing trip and enjoyed the quiet evenings listening to the wind blowing through the trees.

Amazing property, pics dont do it justice

My family and I had the best time. The house has so many extras. There are 4 beds in the basement and 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the first floor. The kitchen has an open bar type area and then a dining room. The deck is huge and all sorts of wildlife come right up to the deck area. The host was great. We will be returning to thjs property next year.

Everything about this property is excellent. Very clean and well maintained. Plenty of room for parking our trucks and machines. Great outdoor space for fire and socializing. Everything you need is provided along with somethings we didn't think of. Check in/out was a breeze and communication was excellent, and answered questions quickly. Inside was a little dated, but comfortable, with plenty of space. Wifi was spotty, but we really didn't use much.

Worth a Visit

Good visit. Tough weather. Walked trails but hadn't been told there was hunting. Owner apologized. No live TV. Had Netflix but buffered. Some esy changes to make. .

Thank you for your stay. Unfortunately because of our rural location and depending on the weather, sometimes Verizon internet can be spotty. We do offer a DVD player and a selection of movies for some entertainment. I'm working on getting an antenna so we can offer local channels as well. We look forward to hosting you again.

Thoughtful home away from home

This property is a gem! We very much enjoyed our stay and were surprised by all the personal touches that the owners had in place to make it feel like your home away from home. We had so many wildlife visitors it truly gave the up-north out in nature vibe we love! From the deer to the hummingbirds and turkeys, we wanted to either be sitting out on the deck or watching out the window the entire time. The kids (ages 13 to 18) were happy with the sleeping arrangements and we were happy to have a bathroom for ourselves! The kitchen was well stocked and even included some necessities! We are so happy with our stay and will definitely be back! There are even extra bedrooms in the basement making the sleeping even more versatile! Richard was very easy to communicate with and attentive! Thanks for a great stay!!
Richard provides corn and a map for placement in the yard to attract the wildlife.
Food for squirrels and birds are also provided!
