We LOVED this house and property and didn't want to leave!! It had everything we needed; we even cooked there one night. We came to the area to explore Linville Falls and Grandfather Mountain, and this was the perfect location. We would not hesitate to book this home again!

This cottage is great! Out in the quiet woods! Perfect for a couple. We definitely want to book when we come back to see friends in the area. The setting is perfect! Love the porch, the woods up the back of the property. Once the fruit trees/bushes etc are in bloom it will be even more idyllic! I would definitely recommend having a non-low vehicle as some of those roads are a little ruddy. Would love to have had a full length mirror as it was hard to get ready for Easter Sunday service with just the bathroom mirror. This is overall a wonderful and perfect place for a couple or with one small child.

Great little cabin! We went for the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games in which we have attended for years now. Cabin in a great area secluded. This was our second time renting this cabin. Clean and all in order.

The cabin was secluded and quite...just what we needed for a weekend get away. Great little town about miles up the road was close enough and far enough away at the same time. Had no issues...bed slept good. Just wished there was a tv in the living room.

Wonderful location

The cottage is absolutely perfect! Kate was a very responsive host and made the process so easy. Surrounded by trees and horses, its an idyllic location. I highly recommend and look forward to returning!

Had a great time.

Attended the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games and this cabin was in a great location. Really clean and neat. Driveway is rocked. Will definitely book again for the next trip!

This very secluded home is in a beautiful location and was very clean. The bathroom is very nice and the bed is comfortable. The host was responsive. A few things to note that may be of interest to some:The wall unit AC in living room is not sufficient for cooling in summer months. Even with a ceiling fan, the bedroom was very uncomfortable. A window unit would be very helpful. There is no tv in the living room although there is a very nice, large couch. There is no real fire pit area. In fact, we were unable to locate it even after we were sent a Google photo. If you bring a pet, bring a crate as it is required if you plan to leave your dog at the property while you go out.If you plan on cooking meals, you may want to bring a mixing bowl, and other cooking tools beyond the very basic. The porch is beautiful and in cooler months it would likely be more comfortable for sleeping.
