Our stay at Tranquility on the Toccoa was absolutley amazing. The home was beauifully maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The river views were peaceful and breathtaking, and spending time on the deck listening to the water was the highlight of the trip.
The host was very accommodating and helpful. The house was quite lovely, inviting, and had an incredible view. Blue Ridge is quickly becoming my favorite vacation spot.
The host was very welcoming and I received promp replies to all of my inquiries. The ice maker & water dispenser on the refrigerator was not working. The fireplace was also not working. Otherwise, the stay was very nice and comfortable.
We had a great stay at this amazing location. Lovely home in a great area. Very convenient to McCaysville and Blue Ridge. Saw lots of wildlife and the fishing was great as well. The game room could use some additional lighting and could use some larger pans to cook with, but otherwise it was the perfect stay for our family!
We really enjoyed our stay. Inside was clean and cozy. The two queen beds were very comfortable.
The grass needed to be cut and the outside of the house could use some TLC, but overall we enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The screened in porch was our favorite, sitting there with Herbie, listening to the river, having our coffee and talking. It really is a piece of paradise. Oh and the train sounds - icing on the cake!! Thank you for sharing your lovely second home with us!
Cabin is in a great location right on the river. It was clean. The game room in the garage was an extra bonus. Make sure you bring wood for the fire pit. We built a fire every night. We will be back!
We wanted a quiet/relaxing getaway which we got. The area and property were beautiful. Cabin had everything we needed. Hot tub was great except for the motor noise all day and night and we weren’t allowed to shut it off. Only other issue was we had to kill ants from the time we walked in until we left. Only in the kitchen area though. And the patio doors did not have curtains or blinds to close at night and bed curtains were shear. Although the area is private, we were very uncomfortable at night with open glass. Overall the cabin was beautiful

Property owners were great (Alli), cordial, caring, and timely with their communication. I shared a list of areas to improve, which I believe really come down to getting a better maintenance and cleaning service. This is NOT a good place to fish, area is great but not this specific property. Can't wade in (too deep) and too many tight trees to fly cast. Power station water releases were extreme as well, leaving to lots of stirred up water frequently. Cabin was very cozy, we enjoyed that. Fire pit was nice, game room was ok but needs some air movement/freshener, hot tub was touchy, kitchen was fairly well equipped, no ice-maker functioning, and needs better pillows. Grass needed to be cut, but was tolerable. Great wildlife all around the area, beautiful environment.
We have been visiting the Blue Ridge area for over a decade but this is the first time we have been to this area and it was beautiful. The drive to the house off of the main road is easy and full of beautiful properties along the Toccoa River. This is an older home that has been remodeled with a modern vibe. It is a great mix of older charm and character with modern finishes that make it comfortable for visitors. Our six year old along with the adults really enjoyed the game room. Our only suggestion would be that the loft bedding needs to be replaced due to sky light fading and wear and tear and that the decorative bedding in the other two bedrooms be updated to the hotel whites that most properties have gone to. It allows for bleach washing for all pieces between every renter and an overall comfortable sleeping experience. The river setting is beautiful and we would stay here again.

Very disappointing! We anticipated sitting by the fire pit but didnt get the chance as the grass was knee high! We asked to have it mowed but nothing happened. We had two pups with us but could not let them out in the tall grass fir fear of ticks and chiggers. The ice maker did not work. There were no.paper towels available and we requested to have some and were told there were some in the "clean" area but there were none. The ice maker dud not work. You couldn't use the ceiling fans without the lights on. There was very little gas in tank for grill. The whole outside of the home definitely needs some attention-very sad!Picturesbon vrbo are not accurate.!
The property offered many opportunities to create memories with my family— from making s’mores in the firepit to playing in the game room. We also caught few fish! The setup of the house is great and offers plenty of space for a family. The hosts were responsive to my questions and concerns. My only complaint is the deferred maintenance on the outside of property-specifically the insect removal. Tons of spider webs and wasps nests that make it uncomfortable to hang on the deck. These insects also made it inside my bed while I was there . Otherwise, the toilets and showers weee clean. The kitchen was clean… I understand it’s a cabin, but if it were my place I would remove huge nests for guests comfort. Nobody wants to sit on the screened porch in the hot tub and deal with a black widow. I do appreciate my time and the cabin and would totally book again if the insects were under control . Thank you!

Nice location but Property Management needs work!
Perfect location right on the river. Quiet area and at the dead end of a street. Downstairs is updated and AC kept things cool. The two bedrooms upstairs do not have AC vents so it gets pretty stuffy unless you are freezing out the downstairs. It is well equipped and seating was comfortable. The issues: The interior of the unit was surface clean...meaning that the more you looked the more cleanliness issues there were. The first knife I pulled out of the butcher block was dirty (pic attached). Also there were a couple of glasses that still had finger prints on them. Additionally there were spider webs inside the home that had been there for a bit. Got in the hot tub and as I was exiting my wife found a nice clump of old hair and algae stuck to my back (pic attached).Emailed mgt company and they were nice, indicated that they would address the issues with their team and apologized. Fast forward to the next morning. Went to get a baking pan out and found it to have roach poop in it (pic attached). Emailed the management company as at this point I am pretty upset. This is when the management company went silent. Never heard anything from Cherokee Rose LLC about the roach poop. Emailed the next day and no response to that email. For the fees we paid, we expect things to be clean. We know issues happen, but this was excessive. The place has potential...but we will not be back to this one or any other Cherokee Rose LLC rental.

Nice place, location was great. Wasnt pleased with the cleanliness, and the overall stay.
We arrived late at night, got in the door and everything seemed really nice, slept upstairs in the king bed, saw a huge roach as i walked up the stairs, both lamps were broken in the bedroom. Woke up morning 1 and there are skylights in both upstairs rooms, not ideal for sleeping in the only king bed to have sunlight beaming in your face first thing. There were big black ants laying all over the floor, cobwebs all over the house outside and inside. I know how a property close to the river can be overwhelming with bugs, but ya just have to work harder to keep it clean and bug free as possible if renting to the public. The wifi worked about 40 to 50% of our trip. Fireplace didnt work and only one porch light worked. Grass was super tall, outside trashcan was full to the top, screened in porch was nice, spider webs everywhere high and low on the deck, and especially around the hot tub, giving 3 stars due to a quick response from the owners when i adressed my issues at the house. I hope they fix them because its a beautiful place right on the river. We came here to fly fish and stay for a long weekend. The bank of the river is super steep and the water is deep. You cannot fly fish off the bank anywhere on the property here. You can get in and wade in one spot next door to the property, but its still a sketchy entrance. Hate to be a complainer but i just call it like i see it. Hopefully these issues are adressed and the property returns to how it looks in the pictures.
