The cabin was nicely decorated and provided all the necessary modern amenities. We loved coming home after a long day of hiking to enjoy the fire pit and wooded lot. We're already recommending the cabin to our friends!
We had a great and relaxing time at the cabin. Place had everything we needed and was very clean and nice. We will definitely come back again. Owner was very attentive and nice.
What a perfect little house to celebrate our 52 Anniversary and our birthdays! Squeaky clean, beautiful bed linens, everything you could possibly want or need ! Also a great location in the mountains but close to everything. We will be back !
We had an excellent time staying here!! The property was clean, beautifully decorated, and so welcoming! The location was perfect and a short drive from all the places we wanted to go! The host was very polite and responded quickly, I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much!
This cabin was tucked away from the main road, giving a good balance of privacy and easy accessibility to lots of hiking options. Check in was super easy, the kitchen was easy to cook in, and while small, the shower offered great water pressure from its wide shower head. The deck was great for doing yoga on and the washer/dryer was convenient. We loved getting ice cream from the place down the street!
Was very relaxing. Quiet and in a great location. Would and will stay again! 6 stars

Property looks much nicer in the pics. Bathroom and shower are small. No air conditioning in the living room, just the bedroom but with the open layout- made it hard to cool the bedroom. Bed was comfy. The screened porch was very nice. Would be nice with some lights though.

Thank you for your feedback Jennifer. We are always looking for ways to improve. The bedroom can be kept cooler by closing the bedroom door. There are solar lights in the screened porch. The panel may not have received enough sun while you were there. Sorry for that inconvenience. Thanks again for staying with us.
Lookout Cabin is a lovely, cozy, clean place, with all the amenities you need. The host really thought carefully putting it together, everything is new and nice. The bed was very comfortable too. The location, on a main road, gives quick access to many towns, hikes and the wonderful new ADK rail trail! We had a great time, enjoyed evenings by the camp fire, and enjoyed games and soccer when it was raining. We highly recommend this great little cabin!

I really liked staying at this place. It is very close to Whiteface Mountain. The house sits on a nice piece of property back from the road. The road is visible, but it is a very quiet area. The home was very clean and very nice for two people to be very comfortable while staying there. I will stay there again as my wife, and I really enjoyed our time there. The only thing we missed was not having a couple of recliner chairs to sit on.
My girlfriend was sick for the entire stay. A large chunk of our time was spent in this cabin and it’s gorgeous. Genuinely made the crappy situation much better. I was worried the bedroom wouldn’t get warm enough but it did and everything was perfect. We signed your book too. Thank you so much for our time in the home. It was truly beautiful.
When you walk in the door of this cabin, you feel at home right away. It is very clean and has lots of areas to enjoy the outdoors. Our communications with the owner were very prompt and courteous, as well as helpful, of course. It is also close to many of the attractions in this area: Whiteface Mountain, downtown Wilmington and Adirondack Chocolate. Lake Placid is just 10 miles away.
Just one thing, if you are a light sleeper, you may want a place a bit farther from the road. It is a busy road.
We enjoyed our stay here very much.
Shower was tiny, need a new can opener, fan running in attic was annoying, very limited dishes etc.

Thanks for staying with us Sheridan. Sorry to hear you had some issues during your stay. We will take a look at the can opener. We are always readily available to our guests and would have happily come over to address the fan, etc if we were aware. If you would like to share what type of dishes you would have liked, we'll look into that as well. Thanks.
We had such a wonderful time at the Lookout cabin. It was our first time in the area, and my wife and I fell in love with the cabin as soon as we saw it :)
The cabin is provided with absolutely everything you need:
- a fully equipped kitchen
- media entertainment (WiFi, TV, etc.)
- a cozy little bathroom with nice hot shower (note: might be tight if you're on the "bigger" size)
- a lovely bedroom
and for warmer months even a covered back-porch with fire-pit and chairs to hang out in the evening around a crackling fire.
I've only left a 4/5 on the position, because even though the location is great to easily reach many points of interest in the area (this is what we cared most), on the flip side it is quite close to the main road, and if you're a light-sleeper as I am, the sounds/lights of trucks in the morning might get to you while you still sleep; not a deal-breaker, but also worth mentioning.
Julie, the host, was always kind and ready to support, and we really appreciated going out of their way and taking care of the extra heater for the colder days, it really helped us <3
All in all, even if I'll repeat myself, we had a really great time, and we'll definitely consider coming back to it once visiting the area again :)
Cheers
