Really nice place

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The place was nice, well stocked, and perfect for our 2 family situation. The second master suite was a godsend and we really enjoyed the beautiful sunset across the pond. The pictures of the house just don’t do that view justice. It’s better than the pictures in the listing when you look at sunset!

Fantastic family vacation

We just spent 12 days at this property, and absolutely loved it. The home is large, with big bedrooms, an open floor space, and large common rooms. Perfect for a large family (we had seven people). The pool is excellent. The home is well stocked with all the household and beach supplies we needed. The owner is kind and easy to contact. The view over Lake Marlin, especially at sunset, is spectacular. Looking forward to returning.

Too many issues for us, will look elsewhere next time

Yikes, as a courtesy, I sent the owner a copy of my review in advance, his reply included the following: “We absolutely know, and have the expertise to apply the law with regard to any inessential negative feedback , and warn that we will legally pursue anyone who lodges a review that crosses the defamation line in the manner of some your proposed comments. We urge that it would be very unwise and costly for you to vent disgruntlement in such a manner on any public forum.” So…. I will caveat this review by saying that it is my opinion based on the collective experiences (over 15 years renting staying at vacation homes in Orlando) of two families. This is an abridged version of my review, VBRO has a character limit This has been one of my worst rental experiences and next time I will definitely look elsewhere. In addition to the problems outlined below, for the same amount or less I could have found a much better property. 1. The internet crapped out a significant amount of time. Aside from dropping connection, there were many times it would not connect. 2. The owner programmed the thermostat so the default temperature was as follows: at 830 AM the temperature switched to 78, at 630 PM to 76 and at 1030 PM to 74. - 3. High level of monitoring done by owner include surveillance of parts of the pool deck, collecting logs, etc. 4. Cleanliness and maintenance needs to be improved (garbage in cans stinky night stands, toilets backing up, 2 broken showers) 5. Owner wanted work done that should be included in cleaning fee (stripping beds – laundry). If you comply your security deposit could be impacted All in all, this property did not serve our purpose and throughout the stay I did not feel warm and welcomed. I will definitely look elsewhere next time

Good morning. I received a copy of your review and to be honest I am very confused as looking back on your stay I see no correspondence between us. Had there been any issue with the WiFi we would have taken care of it. The ac is not programmed and there are no cameras on the pool deck. I don’t know about toilets backing up and showers not working You talk about prior correspondence and I have not had any with you If something is not right in a house for our guests we take care of it, and as I say have no knowledge of what you are talking about. Perhaps you stayed also at another house and got the reviews mixed up as you talk about Orlando . We have had guests in house for last month with no issues Thank you

Amazing property!!!

We stayed at this property during our week vacation and had an amazing time! The house is very beautiful and the pool is wonderful. It is so great that the house equipped with everything you could possibly need: dishes, towels, grill, beach chairs, sand toys. Very convenient location 15 minutes away from very nice beaches. Definitely recommend this place!!!

The listing photos of the house don't reflect the actual state of the house. To say that the house was dirty and not cared for is truly an understatement. The carpeting was filthy and had stains, some of the vertical blinds were missing slats, lamps and bathroom lighting were missing bulbs or were broken and unusable, the oven did not heat properly, the grill and the area around the grill was filthy, the towels and extra blankets were either stained, had holes or were thread-bare. The comforters had stains, the sheets were well-worn and the master bath toilet clogged twice. There were blood stains on a shower curtain, mold in one of the showers, and the walls were dirty. One bike needed a new intertube and another bike was missing a pedal. The kitchen was not well-equipped and some of the dishes were dirty upon our arrival. We wanted to use the pull-out sofa in the living room, but after looking under one of the cushions, we decided against it.

Thanksgiving Family Time

The house was everything we could ever want for a family vacation. The rooms were large and airy and the pool and lanai overlooking the lake were just the right size for our family to enjoy. Sunsets were beautiful! It definitely would be our first choice on renting a VRBO home in the area again!

Great Property

This was a great property for my family. We were in town due to a family emergency. All of us arrived at different times and had a chaotic situation to deal with. This property was a perfect spot to regroup. We all relaxed by the pool and drove to the beach for the sunsets. The property definitely helped us get through a difficult time.

Great finding in Port Charlotte

Excellent value for money. This was a family reunion where we need enough space for everyone and the house provide not only the space we need but many amenities. Kitchen is equipped with everything you may need. Nice lake view from any point of the house. Fairly near to the many beaches around the area and great location near supermarkets, etc. Owner was very kind and helpful gping the extra mile to make our visit a very pleasant one. Will go again 100%.
