Amazing place! We have been in Manitou several times over the years and this is by far the best Vrbo we have stayed at. Easy walk to the Incline but still just a short distance from food and shops.
Property was conveniently located to enjoy the Cog Railway and downtown Manitou. Especially enjoyed sitting out on porch and drinking coffee in the morning. Jean was very communicative and friendly.
Jean was wonderful to work with and easy to communicate with. The house was the perfect blend of historic with all the modern conveniences. The location was great!
The Winter St. house was in the perfect location for easy access to hiking. We were able to reach several trailheads with just a short walk from the house, which made it incredibly convenient. Jean was also a very responsive host, making communication smooth and easy throughout our stay.
This property is beautiful and in a perfect spot if you want to walk the Manitou Incline or take the Cog Railway up to Pikes Peak. It was very spacious, clean, and well equipped for our stay. The parking was greatly appreciated. Jean was a good hostess. We recommend this property.
House was very unique, clean and accommodating. Only issue was a strong sewer odor on second floor. I had seen this issue on several reviews but thought it would not be an issue. They really need to have it addressed. My take is it is a sewer line vent problem.

For future guests: This perceived smell has been addressed. Because the toilets are low-flow efficiency, it is important to make sure that the levers are held down for an entire flush. Additionally, a new top of the line LG washer/dryer combo has been installed.
We really enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect for us, especially since we were in Manitou Springs to hike the Manitou Incline. Being able to walk to the Incline without worrying about parking or taking the bus was a huge plus. The house was very clean and comfortable, as was the hot tub. We especially loved spending time on the front porch, listening to Ruxton Creek and watching the people and traffic go by.Having a full kitchen and laundry was also incredibly convenient. The house is older with an interesting history, yet beautifully updated.Jean was wonderful, and her communication was excellent! We felt very comfortable and wouldn't hesitate to stay at this house again if we return to Manitou Springs someday. Highly recommend, especially if you're planning to hike the Incline!
One of the small things that stood out from other rentals, was that this host provided plenty of "essentials" like hand soap, trash bags, dish detergent, etc. So many times hosts only provide sample size items. It's nice not to have to go to the store to buy enough of the little essentials to get you through the stay. We had two daughters with us, ages 15 and 12. They loved the house and especially the trails behind the home. Everything was clean and easily accessible in the house.
The house was beautiful and exactly what we needed. The beds were unbelievably comfortable which was exactly what was needed after long days of adventuring. We would definitely stay here again!
What a wonderful place, full of charm and history. We were in proximity to a wide range of great activities to enjoy while also being located in a quiet area to rest and relax.
We enjoyed our quick trip to Manitou Springs! The location for our lodging was perfect! We had plenty of room for everyone and the house was well thought out and very comfortable! This is one of the best short-term rental houses we have stayed in.
Beautiful home, perfect location, and everything was provided! The hot tub was awesome and needed after the Incline Hike! If we came back to Manitou Springs, we would absolutely stay here again!
We stayed here and it was the best location for doing the manitou incline or hiking or just feeling close to everything, but still a quiet get away!! The house was really clean and spacious! Would stay here again!
