The place is on a beautiful hill top. A bit of a trek to get there, the drive is completely safe, but parts are on gravel roads that are a bit bumpy, so just be ready.Sonia is a great host and super quick on communication and recommendations.If you want a unique place to stay, definitely recommend this place.You can see both Sunrise and Sunsets here, Amazing!

Beautiful view overlooking the mountains

We had a wonderful time staying at this house. There are beautiful views and a good home base to day trip to Granada , the three white villages and the beach..

Magical stay

We felt we were in our own magical bubble here - beautiful views, flowers, trees. The owners were lovely and very kind - the kids loved the dogs, the chickens. We would love to come back. Thank you so much, we really loved it!

Incredibly beautiful and restful villa

We had the best time at Finca el Gales, it was so peaceful and restorative, looking out across the mountains and the valley every day was absolutely glorious. Would definitely return!

Cortijo in the mountains

Very well built and equipped cortijo with some stunning views. Owner is very friendly, helpful and accessible. The access path is not for the faint-hearted.

Description for the property faultless. Fantastic property with everything you need for a stay. A car is essential. Property clean and fantastic pool.Perfect place for either a quiet retreat or as a central base to travel Andalucía. We visited the coast, Granada, horse riding in Orgiva and visited the Ham factory in Trevelez. Overall a superb stay good hosts really a chilled out place to stay. I will return next time i need to chill out wheter it nbe summer or winter.

This home was well equipped and clean. The hosts were very welcoming. So much that my youngest assumed we knew them already. The view, pool, and property are even more stunning in person. It's incredibly quiet and isolated, but felt safe. It's quiet and isolated, but close to the food and fun of nearby villages and Granada. As other said, rent an SUV to travel throughout the are and to this home.

Most amazing, secluded, piece of paradise!

Wow! This place was incredible. The views alone were phenomenal. The fantastic property, with a brilliant swimming pool, was the cherry on top - it had everything you need and more! The area is beautiful. Although we planned to go out every day, we spent a few days at the pool side with cervezas! Honestly, it was like a beautiful dream. The owners were so helpful, great communication. We will be visiting again and will make sure all our family and friends know about this little gem!

Best views ever

Lovely rustic property with amazing views. We loved the gas barbecue and the covered terrace for meals outside. Inside was simple but worked ok. We were very pleased to find mosquito screens over all the windows, which meant we could have fresh air all night. Fans were provided in all the rooms. The track is a bit of a shock first time, but we got used to it and you can't have a view without a hill! The little pool was fantastic and very warm in September. Thanks Ieuan and Sonia

Great Location, view and home. Tough to get to.

The hosts, the home, the setting, the conditions of everything was top notch. The view was mesmerizing and the stars at night endless.But be advised the last 200 meters of road is tricky. The steep grade and loose gravel are not suited to low profile vehicles or nervous drivers.That said, it was worth the effort. Just plan to arrive, settle in and enjoy. Not a base of operations for lots of local trips. When we return we will likely bring everything we need for a few nights and never leave.

Beautiful retreat in the Alpujarras

I took my partner, daughter, granddaughter, stepson and partner here in Sept 2019. Couldn't fault it. Location is beautiful - don't think I could ever tire of the views of mountains from the terraces. House is simple, in the local style, well-equipped and very comfortable. Everything is spotless and carefully maintained, including the pool with its stunning views. Location is ideal for visiting other attractions in area, and not far from the coast, so great for a mix of activities. Horse-riding in Orgiva and The Alhambra are highly recommended activities. Owners are lovely - helpful with plenty of advice when required, close by so anything that needs resolving is dealt with instantly, but their presence is not intrusive. Wish we could have stayed longer!

A perfect place to relax and enjoy your privacy

My little Family and I have stayed at Sonia and Ieuan's Finca for one week. Everything was perfect (the Finca itself, the view, the weather, the pool,.. etc) we could really enjoy our time there in every way possible (sunrise, sunset, the Stars at the evening fortunately also full moon) The location of the Finca is good, about 15 minutes away from Orgiva, maximal one hour from Granada or Motril. It was a quite adventure to drive the road up to the Finca. Sonia and Ieuan are very nice and helpful people, they provided us with everything we had needed for our Stay. We would like to come again in the future and stay in this beautiful and amazing place. Strongly recommended for people, who appreciate their privacy and tranquility. Thank you Sonia and Ieuan.

Exceptional Holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ieuan and Sonia's house. The house was perfect for exploring the local area and also within an hour's drive of many of the fantastic beaches of the Costa Tropical. Not only are Sonia and Ieuan hugely knowledgeable about the local area, they are also very personable and friendly, being happy enough to offer advice and ideas, while also remaining discreet enough to allow you to enjoy the quiet, aesthetic surroundings. The house has absolutely everything you need for a relaxing holiday with several options available for dining outside. The pool was also fantastic, spotlessly clean and well maintained by Ieuan. A word of advice in that the first time you drive up to the house it may be slightly anxiety inducing, although please rest assured that this becomes second nature and by the second journey up the hill, we did not give it a second thought. Follow Ieuan's advice on driving up (sent in advance) and you will not go wrong. We had a wonderful holiday in Orgiva and have absolutely no reservations in recommending this property.

Une très belle surprise ! Comme sur les photos mais encore mieux que sur les photos… Et encore mieux : des attentions et de la gentillesse. Nous sommes loin du genre « boîte à clefs » !Nous avons passé 5 jours fabuleux en famille.Prévoir une voiture pas trop basse pour gravir le chemin, au début impressionnant mais on s’y fait très vite.

La maison est très confortable et agréable à vivre, fidèle à la description et aux photos de l'annonce. Orgiva est bien situé pour visiter les alentours (villages blancs, Sierra Nevada, Alhamba à 1h) et dispose de toutes les commodités, ce qui est très pratique. Nos hôtes ont été très accueillants, et attentionnés. Le seul bémol est l'accès à la maison qui est un peu difficile à trouver à l'arrivée (malgré les explications fournies, mais sans doute à cause du traducteur de l'ordinateur) et il faut compter 10 bonnes minutes de voiture pour rejoindre les rues principales d'Orgiva.

Eine perfekte Unterkunft für alle die echte Ruhe und Abgeschiedeheit suchen. Ein wirklich traumhaft schönes Haus mit spektakulärer Aussicht. Das Haus, inklusive Pool, war in einem top Zustand, alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich, hilfsbereit und kümmern sich ganz wunderbar. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist etwas abenteuerlich. Man denkt schon gut drüber nach was man alles braucht, denn den Weg nach Orgiva möchte man mit einem normalen Pkw nicht täglich machen wenn einem das Auto lieb ist Das sollte man beachten. Wir geben der Unterkunft und den Gastgebern dennoch die volle Punktzahl, denn wenn man einmal oben ist, gibt es nichts schöneres. Vielen Dank für die Zeit.

Wunderschönes ruhiges Ferienhaus

Ein perfekter ruhiger Ort mit absoluter Privatsphäre und wunderschöner Aussicht. Wir waren von der ersten Sekunde an begeistert. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und absolut sauber, ebenso wie der Garten. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett, hilfsbereit und helfen gerne weiter. Absolute Empfehlung.

Casa Rural Orgiva en 1 de Noviembre

Pedimos la casa un par de noches (1 noviembre al 3 noviembre), para ser una fecha en la que mucha gente suele alquilar casas rurales por la zona, debido a la popularidad de Soportujar en esos días, el precio estaba muy bien. Los dueños fueron muy atentos y educados, en la casa no faltaba de nada y el día de la salida les pedimos si era posible salir algo más tarde ya que estabamos cansados de una ruta que hic hicimos el día anterior y no hubo problema alguno. Sin duda repetiría con ellos
