Our Kilcher Homestead experience
Our stay at the Kilcher Homestead was magical!! The views are spectacular in every direction! Kelli, Shane and Otto are such cool, down-to-Earth people who work very hard on the homestead but took time out of their busy schedules to make us feel welcome! This was by far our best Anniversary vacation ever! We will definitely stay with them again!!

Off Grid Relaxation
I will definitely have a return stay. Kelli Kilcher was beyond nice. Wandering around the homestead was very relaxing. I’m from Florida, so going to Alaska to be one with nature was just what I needed to slow things down a bit and recharge my battery.

About the host

Hosted by Kelli Kilcher

Host profile image
This is the beautiful original Kilcher Homestead, featured on the Discovery TV show Alaska: The Last Frontier. We enjoy sharing the wonder of this land and this lifestyle with others. It is a truly peaceful experience to stay here, hang out or stroll through the meadows to our beach, which is private for miles and miles.

Why they chose this property

Our parents left this property to us children in a Trust so it would never become developed and remain in its natural setting for many generations to come, so people like you could come and experience the transformative value of immersing in Nature’s beauty.
We still have a working farm on the property and plan to develop into a place of learning and sharing the knowledge of homestead living, crafts and arts.

What makes this property unique

Everyone who comes to visit feels the special quality of this land - serene and transformative.
And if you’re a fan of Alaska the Last Frontier, this is a “must-stay” for an immersive memorable experience.
