We loved our stay! The loft had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. We were there is April, but I can see it would be a great place to spend time in the summer with the amazing lake right there.

Place was wonderful! Easy to access getting in and using the sauna. Our host communicated well throughout the trip, leading to a smooth trip. Just hidden enough to feel like it’s just you and the trees.

It was a very nice space for the 2 of us to enjoy! They were very clear on what was provided and what wasn’t. It was a beautiful spot! However if you want to swim it’s pretty weedy so not the best spot for swimming. Super nice place! Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay for our annual Mother/Daughter trip. This was our first time to Minnesota and we plan to return one day. The loft had everything we needed (felt like home) Stove/oven, pots/pans, plates/silverware/glasses, ac, wifi, TV, and washer/dryer were provided. It was spacious and clean, The lake was beautiful and quiet during the week as we paddle boarded around exploring. Duluth was close and it was a great home base as we traveled the coast of Lake Superior. Highly recommend!
We absolutely loved the location of the loft. We did have our 19 month old with us and there was no good way to block the stairs so we ended up stacking up the kitchen chairs. Otherwise zero complaints! Came with local coffee. So good! We hope to return hopfully when its a little ess windy.

KayeLee - I’m glad to know that you enjoyed your time at the Lake Loft and enjoyed the local coffee we provided—it's a favorite of ours too! We'll certainly look into possible solutions to make the space even more family-friendly for future guests with toddlers. I'm also glad to know the windy weather didn't dampen your overall experience, and we’d love to welcome you back in the future!

Midwest Nice.
As it states in the description, it is a loft. There is a nice kitchen space with the basic necessities that the two of us needed for a long weekend. We went during the off season, so we had the property to ourselves. When you get to the property, the driveway is clearly labeled and there is one parking spot reserved for the loft. The garage/sauna is below the loft. It was a very clean and tidy space. It would suit a couple or a young family well. I would not have wanted to share the space with our teenage sons... The area was very quiet, and even if there had been another family there, the property has two fire pits, two grills, and two picnic tables, one on each side of the main house. We had a great time watching the sunset over the icy lake while sitting by the fire, then warming up in the sauna before climbing into the cozy bed. Plenty of towels, easy access to washer/dryer, a couple games to play. Of note, you do have to drive down a gravel road about half a mile and the loft does have well water, but that was not a problem for us. Overall it was a great place, and we would definitely stay there again.
Love the property, location and lake. This is a very nice upper cabin, not huge but 4 of us stayed comfortably, plenty of room to sleep, eat and relax. Bathroom is very nice, not tiny as in some lake places. A/C and kitchen was nice, we didn’t get a chance to try the sauna, maybe if we come back in the fall/winter? The kayaks and paddleboards were in good shape, the lake is nice and clear and plenty of other amenities, fire pit, grill, etc.Only thing I’m holding back on the last ½ star (if I could halve it) is the shared aspect of the property. This was clearly stated, so not a surprise, but perhaps the scale to which it was shared was. We came in on a Thurs and by the Saturday there was probably 8-10 people, 4 cars at the other cabin on the property. They weren’t out of hand or loud, just that there were quite a few people around and competition for the shared resources (dock, kayaks). But a great location (not too far from Duluth but not too close) and nice place, I would stay there again.

Brian, thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the cabin and we appreciate your patience with the shared spaces. We hope to welcome you back in the fall or winter to try the sauna and provide an even more relaxing stay.
If you are coming here to swim you won’t be able to unless you go out at least 40 feet as the lake is thick with water weeds, sharp mussels & green stuff on shore.
If you like to cook. Bring all your spices & all condiments. And a can opener.
If you stay in the loft. Don’t bring anyone that doesn’t do stairs well as there are no railings on first set of steps up.
We would never come back here ever.
No one coming or going while we were here seemed happy.
