Rental was clean and well maintained. It is secluded but we got everywhere we wanted to go in an easy amount of time. We were primarily hiking and it worked out great for us. Easy check in and check out which is nice. Would recommend for small groups.
These cute home is tucked away in a quiet wooded corner of Bar Harbor. It was even better than we had expected. The rooms were thoughtfully decorated and stocked with most things that make a stay seem homey. We especially enjoyed the screen house out back. It was perfect for a quiet dinner and a place to practice my fledgling watercolor painting hobby. If I return to Bar Harbor I’ll definitely check this home out again.
We enjoyed our stay in this nice little cabin in the woods. We prefer to stay a bit remote and this checks the box. It’s on almost 3 acres, which are forested so nice privacy. A few things from our stay that might be helpful when renting this cabin. There were fun amenities like the hammock, a nice Bluetooth speaker, and a fire-pit (though we didn’t use it). The fireside chairs are pretty weathered so they scratch a bit and may snag clothes. Overall, the house was clean though there were areas that could be cleaned better. The management company didn’t send the arrival code until the morning of arrival, which is frustrating because they also share in that same email that cell phone service can be inconsistent so write it down before. It would be nice to send the door code a couple of days early for those that are traveling farther than just a couple hours away. The house is not marked well and the management company doesn’t give any tips/directions to find it. So, look up at one of the trees on the street to find a very small house number attached or drive up the driveway to confirm a boat anchor is hung between two trees in the front year. Oh, and the A/C and fan remotes are in the island drawer—that would have been very good to know. A fun place to stay.
