SeaSplash in Kokomo Cove: This beautiful, Fully Renovated Beach House is excellent and so close to the beach. The house is the 2nd house on the left off old Highway 98 on Sunfish Street in Kokomo Cove. You literally come out your front door and cross 98 to a private beach access.

This is the perfect place for you and your family (or friends) to enjoy the wonderful beaches of Destin. The owner spent over a year gutting and completely re-doing this amazing home. The private pool is lovely, and the porches on both floors are just right.

This house has everything! Sea Splash is beautiful and full of charm… from the hardwood floors to the unique furnishings and decor, the tongue-and-groove whitewash ceiling, and the private back patio and pool area. You’ll want to spend lots of time on the front porch, rocking in one of the wooden rockers, which gives an immediate feeling of relaxation.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property. It was much closer to the beach than expected. There are beach chairs, toys, and wagons that are available for use. We brought all of that not realizing they had it that people have left in the past I’m guessing. It’s super spacious and plenty of room for our whole family to enjoy our week vacation at! We definitely would love to return in the future.

Property was beautiful just as listed! Pool was great! The short walking distance to the beach was perfect! House was spacious and enough room for all of us! Only recommendation I have is to add some hand towels and washcloths in the kitchen. We loved our stay and plan to come back! Thanks for a great vacation home!

Destin Vacay

Our family of 10 went to Destin for the 1st time and absolutely loved it. The house was very nice and in a great location. Access to the beach was a very short walk from the house. Loved the cart to take things over to the beach. The den could use some updated furniture; I would suggest a sectional couch. Would have liked to have had a dresser in the bedrooms to put clothes in but we managed just fine. Kids loved the pool. House is in a great location, neighborhood and not far from the airport. We loved our time there and look forward to returning.

Great Vacation Home! Definitely Recommend

Great vacation home. My family and I really enjoyed staying here while on vacation. The renovations to the house have definitely made the house more appealing and more lively. It was extremely spacious for our family of 9 as we were all able to individually have our own restroom, so that helped when traveling with kids. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The house is literally a street away from a private beach location, which was very convenient with kids. We really enjoyed having access to the private beach!! You cross the street, go through the gate pictured, and you’re on the beach. You can rent the beach chairs that the beach provides, but we didn’t need to as the house came with some beach chairs and umbrellas . The house was stocked with beach accessories such as wagons, beach umbrellas, toys, and much more. The pool was very convenient and relaxing. The house is located only a couple of minutes from Miramar and from Harbor Walk. Jon was extremely fast with any concerns and questions we had. We will definitely be back soon and recommend this rental to anyone looking to book in Destin!

Honest review coming from an 18 year Destin vacationer.

Location was great, house was spacious and had plenty of bathrooms. That’s the only great thing about this property. Broken furniture throughout the home caused a fall and multiple issues. Main floor bedroom end table was propped up on a broken leg and my husband went to put his phone on the table and the table kicked out! The upstairs poster bed has the posts swaying and obviously broken, not safe. The house needs all new furnishings. We did not have a large group. There were seven adults but the seating in the living room is not conducive to all guests sitting comfortably for a movie night. The living room is split in half with a few pieces around the TV and the rest is mix-matched very old antique chairs, tables which made it feel like a storage area for excess furnishings. The yard was the only yard in the neighborhood that was not mowed. It looked terrible and this carried to the pool area where the weeds were growing through the concrete, no shade, trees are dead. Outside shower has no faucet handles, gates are held together with string. Grill is a Walmart charcoal grill. Outdoor beach chairs, kids toys, wagon, all sun-faded leftovers from previous guests. Outdoor furnishings are extremely worn. Mattresses are terrible! Neighbors house has a motion light which shines through living room window and went on and off all evening while we tried to watch TV! We will never stay here again! Worst house in 18 years!

We had a great time during our stay and loved the home. We had 10 people total and 4 of those were kids. The listing showed an outside shower and when we got to the house it had since been removed. We would have just liked that for getting our feet/legs cleaned off going in and out. Trying to reduce as much sand possible. Also some of the beach chairs just looked a little “too used”. So we didn’t use any of the beach equipment. That’s just a personal preference. Overall the house was clean and presents fairly close to the online pictures provided.
