We had a great weekend getaway! The house was perfect for our needs, well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and throughout. The cabana service provided was a perfect added touch!Jim even went above and beyond and had a new coffee maker delivered to us to use for our stay! We would absolutely return for another getaway

The kraken was the perfect beach rental for our multi-generational family. The property was beautiful, clean, amazing amenities, including beach chair set up and take down and the lovely pool! Could not have been any better and we could not have been happier. We also were so happy with Jim and his team and their amazing communication and attention to detail. Highly recommend!!

Our group of 9 had an enjoyable stay. Jim, the host was helpful and answered questions quickly. The kitchen has 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers, and 2 trash areas. Since we rented at the end of the season it’s understandable that frying pans need to be replaced, the rug in the living room needs cleaning or replacing, and there were no beach towels, but these were minor issues. Overall we gave the “Kraken” a 9 out of 10.

Plenty of room for our family of 12. Big kitchen, multiple refrigerators and 2 dishwashers. Nice pool with shaded hangout area and plenty of deck chairs. Easy access to the beach and short walk to the Kure Beach Pier, playgrounds and restaurants.

Outstanding location in Kure, walking distance from restaurants and retail spots, just a quick drive from larger Carolina beach, as well as a great aquarium and Ft. Fisher history museum. Plus, the ferry ride to Southport is just down the street. The house has everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our host, Jim, was proactive in his communication and quick to respond to our questions. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The pool is a nice perk and the walk to the beach is quite short compared to some places we’ve stayed. We highly recommend this house!

We have been coming to Kure Beach every summer since 2013. The Kraken was one of favorites so far. It was very beautifully decorated and well appointed. The location was great because the beach is not very crowded there especially on the weekdays. It also is conveniently located just south of the pier so you can easily take Dow Rd to avoid the congestion of Fort Fisher Blvd/ Lake Park Blvd if you want to get to grocery stores and on/off the island. The kitchen is very well appointed and the family room is well laid out with plenty of seating for a big crowd. Beds are comfortable and all the little details are thought of. The covered decks are great with lots of seating for enjoying ocean views. The pool is great too. We would definitely stay here again! Jim is a great host and very responsive to any requests. This is the second property of his that we have stayed at and would stay at either one again.

The kitchen was awesome! Having two ovens, two sinks, and two dishwashers was fantastic. There was also plenty of cabinet and counter space for storage and meal prep.The living area was spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms were roomy, clean, and comfortable.The view of the beach was spectacular from the deck or the comfort of the indoor living spaces.My family enjoyed the accessibility to so many restaurants and coffee shops. We could walk to several places.The host was also very prompt replying to our messages.Thank you for providing an awesome space for our family holiday gathering.

Great location and wonderful house. Well stocked and clean. Beds are comfortable and furniture is modern. Lots of hooks in bedrooms and halls for towels and suits. Just a five minute walk to get bagels and ice cream. The views from the third floor deck are stunning. The beach walkway has a hose at the beginning and end making it so easy to wash off the sand. Jim was very communicative and checked in with me throughout the week to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation!

The Kraken is definitely worth it. All bedrooms and the kitchen were beautiful! The beach access was wonderful. Imagine walking out your back door to the beach anytime you desire. It has an elevator from the 1st floor to the top floor which made getting our luggage up and down a breeze. You're walking distance to the pier and if you like fishing, well this is the place. This was a great place for me and my 7 siblings! We had a great time. Our host Jim was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful spacious house. The house is decorated beautifully and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen has plenty of cookware for everyday cooking. We also loved the pool, pool area and the grill. The private access to the beach was also nice and convenient.

I work hard for my guests and I hate getting anything less than a 5 star review!! I know Ben had some struggles with figuring out the TVs and he mentioned he was used to visiting a different beach, oh well. I guess we can't when "em all...but I will surely keep trying!! Jim
