Dune Refuge is a 3-bedroom Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan beach house with unobstructed views of the Gulf and beach. The house is adjacent to the wildlife refuge, so there is no development in front of the house or to the East! You can walk miles of undeveloped beach and experience the beach as it was 50 years ago. There is a boardwalk, which is a short walk from the back door of the beach house. This Fort Morgan Beach house is not far from the action of Gulf Shores, Alabama. In fact, it is only 8 miles from Hwy 59 in Gulf Shores. Dune Refuge is a remodeled beach house with wonderful covered porches to enjoy the view and sound of the waves. The tile throughout the lower level and the granite countertops give this house a clean, luxurious feel.

Awesome Beachfront Home

This house is on the edge of a nature preserve, so it is very quiet and secluded. We got the beach in front of the house to ourselves most days. Watching the Gulf from the porch was wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

This property is gorgeous. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed an extra day! The view to the ocean is obstructeded by a large bush which does takeaway some of the view, but not all of it. It didn't ruin our stay by any means. That is our only complaint. The boardwalk to the beach is brand new and very nice. Sure helps when you have multiple carts. Great trip & Prickett Properties was terrific to deal with. The house served our needs perfectly & the views were incredible. Very non commercial area. The beach was nice & many great restaurants were close. Prickett also recommended High Waves for beach chair rentals, etc. & they were top notch! Excellent service & I definitely recommend using them for any beach needs you have. Excellent trip all around & already planning to go back!

No issues with the house itself and we overall enjoyed our stay. Prickett Properties was responsive and accommodating, we would rent through them again! As far as the surrounding area of this property, I do want to point out that the beach access beside the house is public and frequently used! The public access/walkway also runs beside the master bedroom, so you can hear noise from people just talking who are walking by (especially local fishermen who arrive before 6AM - so keep that in mind). Additionally, the trash cans for the community and beach are all right outside this house across the street and created a smell. We also encountered a storm during our stay and a lot of trash was then blown by the wind onto the property from the trash cans being left open by others.

Great house but needs TLC. There were electrical issues and the AC could not keep it cool. They were working on the boardwalk so getting to the beach was a pain. Didn't make anybody's list to stay again.

The location was perfect. Even though it’s beside a public access it was quieter than expected and less people. The condo itself could be updated some but overall it’s a nice house.
