Come enjoy kayaking in the bay, the use of our private dock for fishing and water sports, or just relax in the 8x8 hot tub while enjoying the view of your private waterfront. Catch the fireworks over the Gulf from our upper deck and see the pelicans put on a show as they dive for their daily meal. Occasionally you will be lucky to spot a dolphin off our back deck!

The Blue Dahlia Townhome is a beautifully decorated home with a waterfront view. It is located on the bay side of the island, on the fingers with access to the bay. One of the few on the island with a private dock/boat slip. We also have special monthly rates for Winter Texans.
This Townhome is for those wanting the feel of a home with all the amenities. Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail from the expansive upper deck which also offers wonderful views of the water and the wildlife that fish our waters. Watch the Friday & Saturday evening fireworks right from your own private deck. Prepare meals in your townhome's fully equipped kitchen upstairs or use the fully equipped outdoor kitchen downstairs to prepare your catch of the day. Fish off your private dock 24/7 or dock your boat, kayaks, jet ski’s and walk right up to the townhome.
Everything you need to be as comfortable as possible during your stay is here. Accommodations include: a queen size bed in the Master and 2 twins in the 2nd bedroom with a trundle as well. Downstairs is a bathroom, laundry area and set of bunk beds. The townhome features a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops throughout with all new appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with dinnerware, glassware, coffee maker, Keurig , blender, toaster, mixing bowls, pitchers, cooking utensils, Crock Pot and pots & pans.
The Townhome has wi-fi, plus 4 flat screen tv's and a washer & dryer on site. The living room has a smart TV while the 2 bedrooms have a Roku. Downstairs is a smart TV for the bunk beds. Local TV can be found on the Spectrum app on each TV. On the bottom floor you will find a mini-fridge, gas grill, a wood burning BBQ pit for outdoor cooking and plenty of dining area.
If you are a boat owner, this is the Townhome for you with access to your own private dock/boat slip as well as storage space for your trailer. One of the few on the island. Great for the avid fisherman, outdoor sportsman or the entire family. The property is located on a quiet, tranquil street with the main living quarters on the 2nd floor. (There is no elevator)
The property is registered with the city of South Padre Island permit number : #2023-0487.
We do not rent to spring breakers or to anyone under the age of 25.
The rental contract is located on the VRBO system. You will be asked to review, sign and date within 24 hours along with a copy of your driver's license.
Just an FYI- we are no longer requiring our Guest to pay an upfront damage deposit for their booking. All guest will still remain responsible for any claims that will need to be made if any damage to the property is reported.

Located on the waterfront, this holiday home is in North End, a neighbourhood in South Padre Island. Whaling Wall and Jesus Christ of the Fisherman Statue are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Long Island Village Golf Course and South Padre Island Golf Club. Beach Park at Isla Blanca and Sea Turtle Inc are also worth visiting. Make sure you get close to the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

The property has been a dream come true for our family. As kids we spent many days on the island creating lasting memories. Now as grown adults we would like to do the same with our children & grandchildren. We would also like for our guests to build the best memories at The Blue Dahlia Townhome. The townhouse is named after our mother who passed in the summer of 2016. We are committed to reflecting the love and comfort our mother was to us, in the Blue Dahlia. Enjoy your time as family, or as friends, and make the memories that will stay with you in the years to come.
Why they chose this property
This property is one of a kind. It is very difficult to find a property on the island where you can dock your boat or jet ski's, with your own private backyard. No worries or concerns as to where you will park your trailer either as there is ample parking. The views from the upper deck are expansive and peaceful and below you can read a good book lying on the hammock. This property is a perfect family getaway, girls getaway or for a men's weekend fishing trip. We wanted somewhere close to the fun of the beach but also a place to rest after a long day. It is not just a beach house - it is a home away from home. We love it and we hope you do as well.
What makes this property unique
Location......Location...... Location! This property is located "on the fingers" as known on the island with the locals. The Blue Dahlia is on a quiet street and is very unique to the island. Our private backyard allows us to relax in the hammocks and read a book or take a nap. With direct access to the water off our back dock, it is easy to bring a paddle board or use one of the kayaks we provide and start paddling! The calm waters of the bay allow you to take a break from the waves of the beach and enjoy some water sports. We also have fun watching the pelicans and the water birds catch their daily meals. The pelicans can put on quite a show as they dive bomb for their catch, and the great blue heron that fishes from our dock is a treat for the early risers. From time to time you will be treated to the dolphins that come by to catch a meal - and if you're really lucky - the manatees that are occasionally spotted in the calm waters of the bay. You cannot beat the early morning and late night fishing without leaving the property. And we can see the fireworks right from our dock! Either way, there is something for everyone. It is the perfect beach house.
