I had a problem figuring out the directions but I got a hold of Duane and he got me right there! The cabin was immaculate and cozy, once we got the heater up to a comfortable temperature. I would definitely stay again!!
The private cabins were super cozy and warm. We loved chilling on the porch couch, enjoying the amazing views, or watching the sunrise. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Fall is especially beautiful with all the leaves turning.
Pro Tip: Head out to the field next to the lodge on a clear night. With so little light pollution, the view of the sky is amazing.
The cabins have a heating/cooling/dehumidifying unit that you control so it stays at the perfect temperature for you. You can easily see the TV from the bed, the couch, or most of the dining table, so you have many options if you want to relax and watch something.
The location is close to Cambridge and Salt Fork, so there are plenty of things to do within 15-20 minutes. The owners are on the property, so anything you might need can be handled at a moment's notice; they're still improving the property as well, so it's only going to get better.
If you're not a fan of camping, this place isn't for you - there are gravel roads to get there where you need to watch for deer crossing, there will be bugs who want to try to join you in your cabin, and you'll definitely see critters - if that sounds like your idea of heaven, then I couldn't recommend this more.
Born and raised in Ohio - we are Buckeyes for life! We love to create beautiful spaces for people to enjoy and relax. We have raised 6 children and currently have 8 grandchildren so we are used to playing host and hostess. We love to travel and enjoy spaces that others have lovingly created and it gives us ideas for things we can do! We hope you enjoy your stay with us!
Why they chose this property
The tranquility and quiet is perfection. And then on a clear night - the star lit sky is really a must see. We knew when we seen this property for the first time that we had to buy this special piece of heaven!
What makes this property unique
We don't have alot of outdoor "extras". We are low maintenance and want our guests to just relish in the quiet enjoyment of nature and the surroundings. We have 72 acres with some trails and you can walk quietly through the woods and see wildlife abundantly. A campfire at night, starry skies and a nice place to rest - that's what we have to offer.
