We stayed in New Bern and the house was clean, equipped, and exactly as the description. It is a short walk to beautiful downtown. Historic downtown is a wonderful place to stroll by the water and great Resturants. The host was very responsive and even went above and beyond when we needed to extend our time here. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home we are grateful.

We were blown away when we walked in the door. The home was beautiful, well maintained, and accommodating for guests. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable and the hosts were very attentive when we reached out! We will definitely book this again for future trips/events we have planned in New Bern.

This house is in a great location- you can walk to so many restaurants, shops and historic properties without ever getting in your car! If you want a great place to walk with your dog, Martin Marietta Park is just a short drive away and has nice flat trails.

So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Please come back again soon. Thanks again.
The house was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings drinking our coffee and enjoying the peacefulness. We loved how it was close but not too close to downtown. The only problem was not being able to connect to the wifi on the back room tv. The couch in the front room needs to be replaced as you sink into it and it is hard to get out of. But otherwise, it was a great place and would love to stay there again.
I can’t say enough about this home and the host! Great location, so much space and character in the house. We were coming in for Christmas to see our son and the host made certain the home was festive and decorated. So considerate! Host was very attentive to any questions! Will be staying again on future visits!
The property was very nice and clean. The house is in a great location to walk downtown to stores and restaurants. However, we a scary issue with the electrical in the pink bathroom. The fan and light were on and there was a popping sound and they both went out. I did not know my son was getting into the shower. I flipped the breaker downstairs which immediately went back to the middle position. My son saw sparks come out around the shower head while he was waiting for the water to warm up. We immediately texted the property owner who had someone come to inspect. The fan was disconnected due to a faulty wire. We made the decision to use the other bathroom and not take a chance in this shower again. My son is a young adult and I believe if he said the sparks came from the shower head, then they did. This could have had a terrible outcome. I searched online and this is the answer I found: Sparks around a shower head are a serious safety issue indicating a major electrical fault where dangerous voltage is finding a path to ground through your plumbing. This is likely caused by a bad neutral connection in your electrical panel, a missing ground, or an electrical wire touching a pipe. Also this: Yes, a sparking shower head when flipping a breaker indicates a serious, immediate electrical hazard. This usually means your electric shower unit has a short circuit, faulty heating element, or a ground fault that is conducting electricity through the water pipe.

We thoroughly checked the issue and found no issue with power possible coming in contact with the plumbing. The fan had a loose connection and it has since been replaced.
