Cowgirl Casa ~ ADA accesible & kid friendly 3/2 ranch home in Montrose, CO

Escape to the Cowgirl Casa, a beautiful ranch style house in picturesque Montrose, the gateway to the San Juans. With 3 cozy bedrooms including 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. The home has 2 bathrooms one with a bathtub shower combo and one walk in shower. This perfect retreat is ideal for guests seeking a relaxing getaway. Our place is equipped for both long or short stays to make your holiday or work trip one to remember. The home is one level with an entrance ramp and shower bars, making the space ADA accesible. The backyard has a playscape for the kiddos and dog run for the pups! Designated workspace and WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, dining space and living room with 75in tv make this the perfect home away from home. Come take your boots off and stay a while. This is a home, not a hotel or an apartment. As such, occasionally things happen. We don’t have an onsite maintenance team and living in a rural area it sometimes takes time to get things fixed. Please be patient and understanding with us when things go wrong! We will do our best to fix them as soon as possible!

If you bring a dog to the property you are responsible for cleaning their waste in the yard. We also ask that you not let furry friends on the couch or put down a blanket for them to sit on. Thank you!

For stays longer than 10 days we require an additional cleaning every 10 days for $150 each. This helps us keep our cleaner working (she is an amazing mom and artist!) and our space clean. Please note that if she finds damage to the property you’ll be asked to cover the cost of replacement or leave the property depending on the severity of the damage. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our space nice for future guests.

Cute and comfy house for our Black Canyon bisitb

The house is super roomy, decorated adorably, was very clean, and had plenty of extras. It was an excellent place to rest during our Colorado National Park road trip. The surrounding neighborhood is a little run down, but don’t let that deter you from renting this house. The backyard views are peaceful with no neighbors and there are mountains in sight. Everything was great, including the host, and would recommend to anyone.

Full kitchen was listed in the description. Only 1/4 bottle of spray canola oil was in the kitchen. Nothing else. If you need anything else I’d plan on bringing it. No paper towels. No extra towels. Yellow jacket nests outside. I was stung, my dog was and another guest.

Terrible experience!

I was very disappointed to find water standing in the drawers of the refrigerator, dirty dishes in the cupboard and wet towels and wet stained sheets in the dryer. Both the front and back lawn were totally unkept. Following our stay the cleaning person reported that we left black stains on all of the sheets. The only sheets that were stained were the ones that were left wet in the dryer. I am refusing to pay for replacement sheets and have suggested that the owner consider a different cleaning service.

Hi Nancy, Thank you for your message. I was surprised to hear these concerns, especially since we were in communication during your stay and none of these issues were mentioned at the time. Had I known, I would have done everything I could to address them promptly. I did mention the state of the yard prior to your arrival as our lawn maintenance crew fell through and I’m currently expecting and not able to mow the lawn myself. Regarding the linens, our cleaner reported that every set of sheets on the beds had noticeable brown stains after your departure. The condition of the property also led them to believe it may have been used by a construction crew, due to the overall mess left behind. I understand there may be some disagreement about the source of the stains, and I appreciate your perspective. That said, I do have to rely on the condition in which the property was found and the cleaner's report when making decisions about replacements. I’m always open to fair discussion and want to ensure a respectful resolution for both of us. Please let me know if you'd like to talk further.
