About this property

Toot's & Tiny BnB

Looking for a tranquil retreat after visiting family or friends? Our 5-acre farmstead in North Spokane, located in the quaint town of Colbert, WA, is the perfect place to rest. You'll enjoy proximity to all that Spokane has to offer while being nestled far enough away that roosters' crowing is the only sound likely to rouse you. Stretch your legs along the bridle path bordering our property, or unwind by the firepit with some roasted marshmallows in the evening. Bear Lake, just a 10-minute drive away, provides hiking, fishing, and equestrian trails. Green Bluff, home to a collective of 30 member farmers, offers a delightful day trip with its farmstands and unique boutique breweries and wineries—there's always something happening! In winter, our location is ideal for those eager to hit the slopes at Mt. Spokane or 49 Degrees North, or for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. Or, if relaxation is your goal, simply grab a book and savor the quiet by the fireplace or on the patio.
The space
This apartment, located in our basement, features a separate entrance. It boasts a dining area that leads to a patio equipped with a hot tub. Enjoy the tranquility in a cozy reading nook by the gas fireplace. The living room is furnished with a 55-inch TV and firestick. The small bedroom includes a 42-inch mounted smart TV, while the spacious master bedroom features a 55-inch smart TV.
Guest access
Guests are welcome to explore the property, which includes a bridle path just under half a mile around. The firepit, located on the north side, can be lit upon request for a night under the stars or s'mores. The pasture, however, is off-limits due to freely roaming and grazing horses. Children must be supervised at all times outdoors.
Other things to note
The weather in the Pacific Northwest can be unpredictable; expect rain or snow from mid-October through April. Fall temperatures typically range from the mid-60s to the low 40s at night.

About the host

Host profile image
I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa and my husband was born in Whittier, CA. I went into the USMC after school, and lived all over the United States, and even Japan for a year! Having this life experience with people from different cultures and backgrounds was really enjoyable to me and is why I enjoy hosting. My husband Gil is really the social butterfly, coming from the concert stage in LA, he enjoys talking with people and entertaining them!

Why they chose this property

I love my neighborhood because we can grow most of our food as well as have plenty to share with family, friends, neighbors and our guests of😊Course. I love the peacefulness of the country, and you can often find us in our garden or barn.

What makes this property unique

I usually invite the guests to have breakfast with us on one of the weekend mornings, the food is either from the garden and the eggs are from the chickens. So, the property gives back to the guests in that the produce grown here is served back to them, we don't fertilize our veggies or fruit so we are organic, but you can get that at a lot of places. The most unique part that would set us apart is Gil's singing it is legendary; he is Spanish and sings classical songs in both English and Spanish, you'll have to come by to find out more!
