About this property
Cozy restored farmhouse on the river! Hot tub, wildlife, trails!
Welcome to our renovated farmhouse on the Little Spokane River, with nature views out every window and 200’ of river access to enjoy. Come for peace, quiet, and a slower pace surrounded by wildlife and the historic charm of the home originally built in 1902. Visit area attractions such as Mt Spokane or Greenbluff. The setting is rural but just 5 minutes from major grocery stores, movies, parks, an aquatic facility and access to walking and hiking trails right out the front door. Our hot tub is clean, warm and ready for you!
This property tends to be a great fit for guests who appreciate a quiet, nature-focused stay and are comfortable in a self-guided, owner-managed home rather than a full-service hotel environment.
The farmhouse and approximately 1.5 acres of land are dedicated spaces for guests to enjoy exclusively, including a large grassy yard and gazebo with river views in the midst of park-like mature landscaping. Additionally, guests have access to 200 feet of river frontage via a short trail from the cottage. The river frontage is a semi-private area of the property that may occasionally be shared with the homeowners in the main house next door. The main house is separated from the guest cottage by about an acre of land and lots of foliage, making it totally private most of spring, summer and fall. We have built a privacy fence for winter.
The Little Spokane River has an average depth of 4 feet and a gentle current. The river water is clear in the summer with a sandy/rocky bottom which makes it a great swimming hole. It can also be navigated with kayaks or paddle boards. It is cold but refreshing on a hot day. Please swim at your own risk and supervise children at all times. We recommend water shoes.
Owners live nearby but we leave guests totally alone for a peaceful stay to themselves.
HOUSE RULES These simple guidelines help us keep the home comfortable for everyone and preserve the property so future guests can enjoy it as much as you do:
-Please remove your shoes at the door. -Please keep all food in the kitchen/dining areas or outside. -Observe quiet hours from 10pm-7am, especially while outside. -Absolutely NO smoking indoors or anywhere on the 3 acre property. -No extra guests without prior consent from the host. -No events or parties. HOT TUB Please help keep the hot tub clean for future guests.
-Keep temperature above 100F. -Prevent excessive debris from getting in/out repeatedly or leaving the cover off. -Do not add anything to the water. -Keep water level up for proper filtering. -No diapered children allowed and other minors must be supervised at all times. -It is requested that you shower off any body lotions, makeup, deodorants etc before entering the hot tub.
PETS We currently allow mature, house trained dogs to stay on the property. There is a $85 pet fee. You must agree to follow all rules without exception and please mention that you’ve seen them when booking with a pet.
-Disclose you are bringing a pet at the time of booking. -Keep pets off all beds, bedding, linens, furniture and other upholstery and blankets at all times. -Provide your own pet care items. -The yard is not fenced and pets need to be on a leash. -Clean up your pet's waste in the yard before departure.

Great little getaway out of the city. The outside cats, hot tub and games were a hit for the kids! The additional baby items (stroller, toys and high chair) were so so helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
I've stayed at a LOT of vacation homes over the years and this home is one of the few that id want to go back to. Well appointed, comfortably furnished and stocked, and host was responsive when we unexpectedly had heating issues (had someone there within hours.
This house was perfect for our family Christmas gathering. It had plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. We even backed a bunch of Christmas cookies. We will be back. Thank you!
The farmhouse had everything we needed for our stay. The history of its origins, owners, and land use was enlightening. The location is beautiful and quiet, and the Little Spokane River is a short walk away. Check-in was smooth, WiFi connection great, and grocery shopping was fairly close.
The home was super clean. It has a lovely kitchen, dining room and living room, sized for gathering and great conversation. My two sisters and I really enjoyed it.
We had a great stay here and Chelsey was great! The home was beautifully appointed and was a great space for our family! The inside was beautifully decorated and the location was calm and quiet. While it felt like we were on the outside of the city, the proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, and Whitworth University was ideal. We will definitely stay here again!
This home had all the comforts of home and is perfect for adults who want to hang together while exploring everything the Spokane area has to offer. We enjoyed the quietness of the property yet being close enough to be in downtown Spokane within 15 minutes. The Property Manager is very responsive to questions should the arise as well.
This house was perfect for our stay. Property was beautiful. So much attention to detail. Everything we needed and more. Would definitely come back to this sweet home! Thank you!
East communications. Allowed some exceptions when asked. Property is stunning, everything labeled and easy to find. Guidebook detailing everything in an easy to reference layout. So very quiet at night. We will consider booking again. Thankyou.
Charming, historic home in a very beautiful setting
I was thoroughly impressed by this property. It's a beautiful home, built in 1908. Very charming, well maintained, exceptionally clean, and tastefully updated. It still has character, as any 100+ year old home probably should have.
I thought the king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. WiFi worked fine. The book of house rules and suggestions of things to do in Spokane was fantastic.
This was such a nice property that filled a particular niche purpose for us, perfectly. But the book (and stay) was so exceptional that rather than stay here, if we happen to need such a large place in Spokane, we would like to specifically stay at this place again just to go through the book and experience all that the area and property have to offer. For this particular stay we already had plenty of plans in place, but we realized that this was not necessary for a good time in Spokane.
Wonderful place and could not have been more impressed. Hope to be back soon.
we felt immediately comfortable here. every morning we were greeted by a bunch of turkeys (quite a seasonable activity, given we were here over thanksgiving!) deer were also easy to see around property.
the the owner was very careful to provide everything we needed and even a few thoughtful gifts! overall, a very inviting stay!
The bedding was comfortable and the home was welcoming. Guidance and information on local amenities was clear. I would definitely seek this place out for another aamily gathering or event.
