Bungalow with hidden room behind bookcase door and no cleaning fees
First off I would just like to thank those recently that have been affected by my surgery have been so kind and flexible and understanding to the point of even refusing discounts I offered to inconveniences brought on by my recovery and to the the others I again extend my heartfelt apologies for any inconveniences🤓 06/20/2025 Clean, airy, private basement apartment with hidden room featuring pool table/air hockey behind James Bond style hidden room which is entered through bookcase door…..A former guest was perplexed when he couldn’t find the promised pool table thats how well its hidden. 3 tvs (common area and both bedrooms ) come equipped with Roku and mNetflix. 2 full windows in bedrooms provide natural light and super comfortable queen size beds. It is a renovated basement…. It is clean, roomy with eclectic tasteful decor. In the renovation we decided to go with a kitchenette so there is no stove/oven, however we included as follows: Microwave, air fryer, mini fridge, a double sink, coffee maker/kuerig, toaster oven, and a hot plate. Plates, silverware, pots/pans are readily available but it is an area not conducive for preparing Thanksgiving dinner. In addition for your convenience a full size washer/dryer is at your disposal. Toiletry items are available upon request.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Excellent place to stay everything you need and a great price. Host is very communicative and helps with anything you need would highly recommend this place
Even with the owner on property there was privacy and comfort. I enjoyed the stay and liked the fact that it was comfortable and interesting. Would return if in the area. There is a nice backyard atmosphere with colorful lighting at night. Partner enjoyed the golf game a lot!
I came to Spokane to see a show downtown. I didn't want to stay in a hotel and especially didn't want to stay downtown. I'm glad that I searched Vrbo for a place to stay. The only thing that would have made my stay better is if there was a hotplate or something other than a microwave or toaster oven to cook my own food (another reason I did not want to stay in a hotel--I need to prepare my own food). I should have packed my hotplate but I didn't think I needed it. Oh well. I ate leftovers I had prepared at home for the road warmed up in the microwave.

Valentine's getaway
The stay was nice an quiet. Perfect for a easy night away
Nothing fancy but was easier and cheaper than getting a hotel room for my husband friend and I. Was in an easy location to get to the wedding and explore Spokane for the weekend.

Not the best experience
How to locate the unit was a little confusing. The entire basement smelled like cigarette smoke so badly it gave us all head aches. One night during our stay, the host was up pretty late with company over and it was hard to fall asleep. I would never recommend this place or stay there again.

What I loved about this property is how clean and very private it was in the Bungalow. I felt very safe and very cared for.
It was a cozy place that had all of the basics that we needed. It was located in a cute little neighborhood where we felt safe. Also, the secret room with pool table was lots of fun!

Poor
Poor accommodation. Access to the basement suit was inconvenient. Poor entertainment in livingroom. No heat control. Old and suite deficiencies. Wouldn’t recommend this location.

Clean, comfortable, very private, with just the right amount of not perfect. If you're looking for fancy and super nice, probably not the spot for you. But for a very reasonable price, super clean, but a little rough around the edges, it was just fine. We would go back.
This booking is not for the entire house advertised! It is the basement of the home in the picture. Very DIY space. Also no soaps so make don’t forget yours!

This property IS NOT a house rental. You rent just the basement floor. There's a family living upstairs with a dog. Your led to believe it's a full house through the advertising. Very disappointed.
When I say quirky, I mean it in a good way. This is a nice basement apartment. Our group consisted of 3 ladies. The bedroom windows are large, and allow nice light. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are nice size. The living area is nice, well appointed, and comfortable. The "hidden" room was a fun addition. The kitchen is not a full kitchen, and as previously reviewed it has a full size washer and dryer there which makes the kitchen tight for 2 or 3 people to be in the kitchen at the same time. AND it is not a full kitchen - so if you plan to try to cook your meals, that won't work here. We had continental breakfast on site, but our meals were away from the property - which worked really well for us. The place was really clean, the linens were nice, and the coffee was really good.
We felt very safe in the neighborhood and in the property.
We would stay here again. If you want a budget friendly, super cute and fun place to stay, you can't beat this property.
The home looks as though it was abandoned. Dead grass and weeks covered the front lawn. The entrance to the home was from the back yard which had the same landscaping. The pathway to the back yard was composed of uneven pavers. Entrance required decent down a steep, dimly lit staircase with a loose hand rail. The beds were poorly made and did not appear clean. An attempt to contact the host, who was on site was futile. She would not answer the door. The photographs of the unit do not fairly represent it. The condition of the unit was so poor that we were not willing to stay there.
The owner is extremely nice and very accommodating. The apartment is in the back and downstairs and easy to find. It was plenty of room for our family of four and the hidden game room was very cool to the kiddos. It had the typical basement smell that comes with humidity, not a smoke smell that another review had mentioned. It was as clean as most hotels we stay at. But the price we paid could never be reached by a hotel. There is just no way you would get all that comes with this house in a hotel. If you are super picky and expecting the Ritz, then this isn’t the place for you. Go find a hotel. If you are looking for affordable, room for all, people staying out of your business and a super cute dog you might run into in the morning, then this is the place for you. Be sure to bring laundry detergent and clorox wipes though if you want to help keep up with clean up.

I won't go back
This was a basement property. It was well decorated but the points they used to advertise the property were moot points. They spoke about the pool table. We tried playing for a second but then gave up .The pool table was in a horrible condition. There was not enough space in the room to even play the game. You would hit the cue stick on the walls. Owner of the property stayed right above and had several visitors over. I couldn't sleep the first night as they were walking around and making noises till 0130 am. On top of that, the place was freezing. She told me that I need to tell her to switch on the heat. Who even expects that? It was 20F outside. My feet froze. It's common sense to heat up the place. I had to ask the next day to switch on the heat. Also, the shower wasn't working. I started giving a bath to my daughter and it stopped midway. She sent the plumber to fix it rightaway but it was a terrible shower to begin with. It was a terrible experience to take a shower. I agree that she was very apologetic and nice but her apologies don't help my experience. I wanted a relaxed stay with my family and expected basic amenities but I didn't get that.

About the host
Hosted by Traci Goff
Hi my name is Traci… I have been in the hospitality business my whole adult life. Catering, party planning, and tending bar to name a few. Now as an empty nester combined with an injury I was looking for something to supplement my income. I am a people pleaser and honestly, want you to enjoy your time. I am available as much as you need or as little as you’d like so feel free to let me know if there’s something you would like to make your stay more comfortable, and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is one of the nicer neighborhoods in Spokane, quiet and private and safe.
What makes this property unique
is very spacious. The rooms are quite large and there’s over 1200 ft.² and three TVs so you don’t have to be on top of one another if there’s more than one guest.. Additionally, I added a wall partition with a hidden bookcase door just for fun, mainly for my grandkids, but for your enjoyment as well…. People have missed it. It’s so well hidden so don’t miss out.!
