About this property
Bungalow with hidden room behind bookcase door and no cleaning fees
First off I would just like to thank those recently that have been affected by my surgery have been so kind and flexible and understanding to the point of even refusing discounts I offered to inconveniences brought on by my recovery and to the the others I again extend my heartfelt apologies for any inconveniences🤓 06/20/2025 Clean, airy, private basement apartment with hidden room featuring pool table/air hockey behind James Bond style hidden room which is entered through bookcase door…..A former guest was perplexed when he couldn’t find the promised pool table thats how well its hidden. 3 tvs (common area and both bedrooms ) come equipped with Roku and mNetflix. 2 full windows in bedrooms provide natural light and super comfortable queen size beds. It is a renovated basement…. It is clean, roomy with eclectic tasteful decor. In the renovation we decided to go with a kitchenette so there is no stove/oven, however we included as follows: Microwave, air fryer, mini fridge, a double sink, coffee maker/kuerig, toaster oven, and a hot plate. Plates, silverware, pots/pans are readily available but it is an area not conducive for preparing Thanksgiving dinner. In addition for your convenience a full size washer/dryer is at your disposal. Toiletry items are available upon request.

We were there for a short stay. The place was cute, loved the game room behind the hidden door. There were a lot of stairs which was challenging for me with a leg injury (not their fault).

The property was okay. The exterior pictures need updated as the outside was unusable and the grill was not working.

Juat ok
It was ok for a inexpensive place but many things were not as advertised. Timer on washer does not work.
Had all the pieces it said it would. The bookcase room is cool. The walk up to the door is a challenge with luggage tho.

Cigarette smoke, allergy sufferers beware.
Communication with Traci was great. Check in process was a challenge, Traci was gracious enough to give us a discount due to an unexpected situation with housekeeping. Once we found the entrance and trudged thru the knee high weeds in the dark, we entered the apartment thru a cloud of stale and fresh cigarette smoke. Listing says nothing about the smoking. Allergy sufferers beware! Cute basement apartment, not overly clean but will give grace due to issues with housekeeping. Served its purpose for our needs. Very glad we only needed a comfortable clean bed and a hot shower. Kitchen leaves little to be desired.
How to locate the unit was a little confusing. The entire basement smelled like cigarette smoke so badly it gave us all head aches. One night during our stay, the host was up pretty late with company over and it was hard to fall asleep. I would never recommend this place or stay there again.
Wonderful stay for the five of us when we were in town for a family memorial service.

Just eh
The secret room was the main I booked this place. It was underwhelming as the room was too small to actually play pool, the table wasn’t level, and the pool sticks were broken. My son stepped in dog poo as we walked through the gate to the basement access door. It served its purpose as a single overnight stop.
My stay was comfortable. My son and I enjoyed the hidden game room.

Challenging
The property is as listed online and the hostess is very responsive but the fact that it's someone's basement was a bit disconcerting. We had an interesting/questionable encounter with someone from the family and chose to cut our stay short by a couple of days. The hostess was very responsive but the whole stay was a bit disconcerting.
Nothing fancy but was easier and cheaper than getting a hotel room for my husband friend and I. Was in an easy location to get to the wedding and explore Spokane for the weekend.
Poor accommodation. Access to the basement suit was inconvenient. Poor entertainment in livingroom. No heat control. Old and suite deficiencies. Wouldn’t recommend this location.
Pros: good location, relatively clean, fun games, good tv and streaming, owner is responsive.Wishes: bathroom and kitchen need updated. Stairs are steeper than I thought they would be. 2 small dogs annoying as you come in and out. Your must open 2 gates and walk on uneven path to get to door. People upstairs smoke so the smell comes through when the heat is on. You have to ask to have the heat turned on.

About the host
Hosted by Traci Goff
Hi my name is Traci… I have been in the hospitality business my whole adult life. Catering, party planning, and tending bar to name a few. Now as an empty nester combined with an injury I was looking for something to supplement my income. I am a people pleaser and honestly, want you to enjoy your time. I am available as much as you need or as little as you’d like so feel free to let me know if there’s something you would like to make your stay more comfortable, and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is one of the nicer neighborhoods in Spokane, quiet and private and safe.
What makes this property unique
is very spacious. The rooms are quite large and there’s over 1200 ft.² and three TVs so you don’t have to be on top of one another if there’s more than one guest.. Additionally, I added a wall partition with a hidden bookcase door just for fun, mainly for my grandkids, but for your enjoyment as well…. People have missed it. It’s so well hidden so don’t miss out.!
