Walk 100 yards (one minute) and you are at Poipu Beach Park! Just step from the blue waters of the Pacific off Poipu Beach. The Hibiscus suite is a spacious garden studio in the Hale Pua Villa House at Beachside Poipu with full kitchen, king size bed and entertainment center. If you want a location convenient to surfing, snorkeling, swimming, basking in the sun or serving as a command center for your island vacation activities this is it!

The full-kitchen has stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher and all the stuff necessary to blend the best smoothies, create superb salads, or barbeque steaks on the electric grill on the private lanai. Optionally, a few steps away is Brennecke's Restaurant which has great food.

Can't leave the computer home? The facility is wi-fi enabled. Don't pay for that extra bag on the airlines. A laundry with supplies is available. The bath is shower only - no tub. We think we have thought of everything including beach chairs, mats and an ice chest for your beach activities. The Hibiscus awaits along with the beach, rainbows and stars only Hawaii can provide. Kauai getaway

Wonderful location and very gracious host. My son had ordered flowers for Mother’s Day and she placed them inside so they wouldn’t blow over. We had a later flight and she let us stay past checkout. Would stay here again!

Hibiscus suite is sweet

A wonderful place to call home while in Poipu. The location is perfect, you’re close to everything while not being in the middle of it all. This suite has everything you’ll need for a fantastic stay.

Great Location!

Location was great. Very short walk to Poipu which was a wonderful beach for wildlife snorkeling and sunrise/sunsets. The rental had everything you need. One issue is no AC. I was fine without it but my fiance likes to sleep in frigid winter weather.

Incredible. Max two minute to walk to Poupu Beach, 90 seconds to Brennecke Beach. Clean room. No issues. Full kitchen (didn't take advantage) Full size fridge with ice. A small cooler and a couple beach chairs were available to use as we walked to beach, turtles at sunset,etc. We had a chance to meet the host Kathy. Super nice and very hospitable. Only downside is writing this good review in fear the rates rise because she can certainly charge more. Book this room and you won’t be disappointed.

The accommodation was exactly what we were looking for. Private, comfortable, well-appointed, close to the sea and not a resort. It was beautifully equipped with everything we could want and our host, Kathy, was friendly and welcoming. The location was great - just up from the beach, and we reallty appreciated our private little patio where we had dinner a few nights and could relax and chat in such a peaceful and comfortable place, The bed and linen were very comfy, great that we were provided with beach towels and even a little chillybin to take a picnic on our outings. It could not have been better and totally met our needs and exceeded our expectations.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. It’s only a three minute walk to the beach and if the monk seals and turtles are in the neighborhood, you can see them almost immediately upon arriving at the beach. There are plenty of kitchen wares for full food preparation, easy parking, comfortable bed. The patio was lovely and where we spent almost all of the time while we were at the VRBO. Being centrally located in the south, it was easy to get to Waimea as well as to Kapaa/Lihue and the North Shore. When we come back to Kauai, and this gem is still available we will stay here again! The host was available and very friendly, but left us to our own devices/privacy. A perk was being able to do a load of laundry!

Steps from the beach

We loved being able to take a 3 minute walk to sit on the lawn or the beach to watch sunrises, sunsets, swim in the ocean or just gaze out at the water. Great location that allowed us to be in the water many times a day and be back at the property resting or having a meal. Our room was big enough, well equipped and clean. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and cheerful. We enjoyed the box of chocolate macadamia nuts and watching the cats on the property. The location for snorkeling at Poipu Beach was perfect.

Loved the Location!

What a great condo! Way more spacious than I thought it would be with awesome light and air flow from all the windows & slider. We cooked a fair amount of meals at the property and were very impressed with the cookware and utensils on site, you all thought of everything! The bed was comfortable and bathroom was larger than I thought it would be too. The place was super clean, loved the spigot out front to wash the sand off of us before entry too. I traveled with my 16 year old daughter and by the end of the stay, she told me she would love to live in a studio apartment just like this in our home city of Chicago. We both felt like we had more than enough area to hang out without feeling like we were on top of each other. The lanai had a great amount of space too. The location was fantastic, right across the street from the beach and walking paths to take you wherever you want to go around town. This was our third trip to Poipu and we will most certainly make it a priority to book this condo when we return.

Perfect Home!

Kathy was very kind and easy to work with. The home was clean and ready to go when we arrived. The house is crazy close to the beach! So, we really didn’t need a car at all unless our adventures were elsewhere that day. Before booking, I noticed the main complaint was that there is no AC. Yes, there is no AC, but there are plenty of fans. We slept comfortably and had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Already planning a return

Kathy and the Hibiscus suite were both great! The property is in a perfect location in Poipu - I was able to walk to the beach and local shops, and it was only a quick drive (or long walk) to a ton of great eating/shopping options. I will definitely be planning a return trip to the island and this property!

Great location but desperately needs air conditioning

I filtered my search to find houses. This place came up in my search for houses but it’s actually a condo. There are large properties completely surrounding this condo and therefore the place gets close to no wind. Because there isn’t any AC we had to leave all the windows and blinds open to try and get any air movement through the condo. This did little to help the 90 degree temperature in the condo. Having all the windows and blinds open also meant we had no privacy and as I said the property is completely surrounded by other properties. Imagine coming home from the hot beach and trying to cool off in your house but it’s 90 degrees and there’s no breeze through the windows and no AC to turn on. It was miserable, and sleeping in this sauna was even worse. The house is a very close walk to the beach and is in a good location if it had AC. We spent the first 5 days in a house on the north side that had no AC but the house was positioned such that it got plenty of breeze and was very comfortable. This is simply not the case with this place. The mgmt allowed a 2 hr late check out because we had an evening flight leaving and I commend them on accommodating us. The house was clean and checking in was easy. With that said, I don’t believe I would stay here again.

Proximity = Ecstasy! Delightfully decorated Guest Suite. Privacy and proximity combined. Relaxing beach living with all the amenities included. Full kitchen. Blender and coffee maker, too. Outside shower. Pleasant seating areas. Very comfortable king size bed. Would stay here all over again. In an area overwhelmed by overnight visitors, you are secluded and secure in close proximity to two of the most noted beaches in Kauai. Most responsive communication. In advance as well as upon arrival. Beach rentals around the corner as well as Brennecke’s Broiler. Close to anything in Poi’pu Beach area.

I bouth this wonderful beach prperty in 1978 with thoughts of retirement and wanting to be close to the beach.
A minute walk to Poipu Beach Park & Brennecke's Boogey Boarding Beach!
We built a home in 1988 and moved to Kauai, heaven on earth. Built a second home on property and rented it out! Alas Hurricane Iniki destroyed both houses. I relocated to California to work. Rebuilt one home and made it a vacation rental.
At last in 2002, I retired and returned to Kauai and decided to start managing the vacation rental home ourselves. I built the second home and moved into the top floor suite. in 2017 We sold the front house on property and now I only manage and rent the 2 studios.
I love meeting our guests and hearing of their adventures on island and elsewhere!

Why they chose this property

To myself this is the most perfect location in Poipu as it is only a minutes walk to Brennecke's Boogey Boarding Beach and Poipu Beach Park. We are one of the 3 vacation rentals this close to the beach in Poipu. We have really tried with our personal touches to make this a very special island holiday get-away without the expense of staying in a hotel. Located in this charming neighborhood creates special memories for all that have stayed with us.
