You can see the ocean from the Living room and enjoy amazing mountain views and beautiful rainbows from the living room and lanai. The sunset can be viewed This Prince-Kuhio unit #306, overlooks historic Prince Kuhio Park and is a 1 minute walk to popular Lawai Beach and the Beach House Restaurant, and just a 5 minute walk to the beautiful new Kukui'ula Shopping Center, for shopping, gourmet farmers market and fabulous dining.
Located at Prince Kuhio complex on Lawai Road, this lovely condo is just across the road from the beach where you can snorkel, swim, surf and watch the perfect sunset...you may even witness a rare 'Green Flash'.
Our third floor unit, no elevator, is fully stocked with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. It has a nicely upgraded kitchen with granite counter tops, full range, microwave and full size refrigerator. The unit also offers a comfortable queen bed, full bathroom with walk in shower, new Smart TV with additional bedroom TV, DVD player, CD player and free upgraded wireless Internet. This unit comes fully furnished with kitchen items including microwave oven, linens, bath and beach towels, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, cable TV,free wireless internet, TV, stereo, CD & DVD player. and safe for your passport or valuables. Starter supplies of soap and paper products are provided. This condo does not have air conditioning, but normally tropical trade winds will keep you comfortable. Ceiling fans are in the bedroom.

The complex has a beautiful pool, large coin laundry room on first floor, convenient barbecue and picnic area, gorgeous tropical gardens and free parking including covered parking. Your rental also includes, two beach chairs, ice chest and beach towels. All you need is your bathing suit and toothbrush!

We encourage all our guests to consider taking out trip insurance travel and accomodations, because our cancellation policy is strict.

Nice Little Condo Steps from Beach

My husband and I enjoyed our stay and were able to settle in the rhythm of Koloa and Lawai Road. The kitchen was well provisioned and we appreciated the beach chairs available for our use.

We loved our stay at Prince Puhio. The unit was perfect - my favorite part was the view and listening to the waves with a cup of coffee. The unit is even better than described and shown in the photos. It included a safe which we appreciated and everything you would need for a beach day… chairs, umbrella, towels etc. We highly recommend this darling spot and hope to visit again soon. Mahalo!

Comfortable clean, nicely appointed apartment. Near small beach, rocky with a bit of sand. Not sure about the ocean view from the shower? But the view that is - is nice. Manager Florence is terrific.

Excellent view

Great location with beautiful view that’s close enough to hear the waves. Very comfortable bed with super soft sheets. The only thing I would suggest is to be prepared to buy extra toilet paper if staying awhile. There’s a baby beach really close that you can walk to with hardly anyone there.

Amazing experience

We loved staying at Bill and Karen’s place! Everything you will ever need to top off your perfect vacation on Kauai. Beautiful sunsets, great snorkeling, and a perfect breakfast/lunch/dinner spot 2 min walk from the house on Lawai Beach. They were very accommodating and added the little extras to make it seem like home. Would absolutely recommend 1000 times over!!!

Wonderful condo near Poipu beach!

We had a wonderful time on Kauai and really gained an appreciation for how centrally located we were. The condo was spotless and had beautiful views as well as all of the beach supplies you could need. We enjoyed swimming in the pool in the afternoons when we got back from our hikes or beach days. Florence was a wonderful host and quick to respond to any questions. We'd absolutely love to stay here again.

Kauai Birthday Trip

Perfect for my wife and me. Fantastic location for coming and going for all our exploring! The VRBO property was incredible in every way, we love to cook and had a kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed! A beautiful view of the ocean from our living room, a very short walk to a beautiful beach and snorkeling, and across the street from our new favorite fine dining restaurant, The Beach House! Could not be happier with our choice of accommodations! And, excellent communication and help from the owners!

Loved the location, but there were some problems. The bed is/was terrible - lumpy and uncomfortable. Plus, there was no full-size couch to use as a substitute - only a four-foot rattan couch. So sleep was an issue.

Excellent Condo..!

Great place to stay. Full Kitchen, Fully stocked with everyting you need. Several close by grocery stores. Great view from the Lanai. Comfortable bed. Clean and comfy. Also great location. We covered nearly every inch of the island and this is a great location. Some of the best snorkeling just across the street next the the Beach House restaurant. Great surfing and boogey boarding location too. Very close to Poi'pu beach area. So glad we found this gem. Many thanks to the owners.

ALOHA! We are Bill and Karen, retired physician and teacher, living in the quaint seaside town of Port Townsend, WA. We have four children: two are teachers, one is an Alaskan smoke jumper and one runs an excursion cruise in Alaskan waters. Bill is a grad from Indiana University and Karen graduated from the University of Washington.


After a hiatus of two decades we re-experienced Kauai in 2003 and fell in love with the slow, idealistic life of Kauai; especially the sunniest side of Kauai in Poipu. We have been so fortunate to have purchased this beautiful unit 306 in the Prince Kuhio with the anticipation of sharing it with others. In November 2015 we spent a month upgrading the condo. We have our friend Flossie as the contact person for renters. We love the slow, relaxing life style of Kauai





Why they chose this property

Sunny Poipu is the driest and most popular area on Kauai. From our living room and lanai we have a fabulous, 180 degree sweeping view from the blue Pacific to the volcanic mountains. The morning brings the splashing sunshine into our living room. There is also a peek of ocean and setting sun from the kitchen window. Sleep peacefully with sound of the surf and trade winds drifting through out the condominium. The door is just steps from the ocean side. We love our 'little piece of paradise' and know that you will too...a perfect place for a couple looking to reinvigorate themselves.

What makes this property unique

The Ultimate Kauai Guide Book says Prince Kuhio Condominiums is a "SOLID GOLD VALUE". The pool feels very private and very relaxing with the gurgling water falls nearby. Enjoy spectacular sunsets just across the road.
