This house is absolutely amazing! Wonderful host, house was beautiful, vintage and rustic with a modern twist. A perfect mountain escape. I hosted my wedding here and it was perfect.
The property was amazing. The house was so unique, with different themed rooms, but modern amenities such as Bluetooth nightstands and plenty of TVs. The outside areas were amazing with an amazing fire pit in the front and creek behind.
The host skipped no detail in thoughtfully appointing the house with amenities for guests. Think: multiple rolls of papertowel, fully stocked kitchen, gas for the barbecue grill, toiletries, ear plugs, snacks, water. The house is comfy, seems good for families and folks who enjoy games and tv type entertainment. Note that the primary bedroom has a bed that might require the use of a provided step stool to get in to or out of because it’s so tall. A few things we were bummed out about- the surrounding properties (near and far) had lots of outside dogs that barked during the day and middle of the night. The nearest neighbors had unattended dogs, one of which we saw daily fearfully barking at us and advancing toward us before running home again. This happened repeatedly. We had dogs with us and were very concerned about a possible confrontation. The property is definitely the 14 acres advertised, with about 2-3 acres usable to guests. The neighbors’ house was also quite close to what is the property line, hence the unattended dog issue.Expect to be pleased with what you see on arrival, hopefully the dog issue with the neighbor is better in future. The host mentioned they had plans to build a fence. Not sure about the rest of the properties with barking dogs, that was a surprise feature that ultimately helped us decide to go home early. Came looking for some peace and quiet, didn’t find it this time, but appreciate the host’s effort to create a welcoming place.
